What’s your favourite goal of the season? Obviously the Ballard goal v Coventry and Mayenda and Tommy in the final are going to be up there, but apart from them, my top 6 are

    6. Mayenda - away to Sheff Wed ( his 2nd - the header)
    5. Isidor - away to Hull
    4. Cirkin - home to Coventry
    3. Isidor - away to Boro
    2. Dan Neil - away to Swansea

    And number 1
Chris Rigg - home to Boro

it’s not easy this. I was only going to go for the top 3 but kept thinking of others to include! Isidor’s worldies earlier in the season. Mundle v Bristol City etc etc

So so difficult, we’ve been spoiled this year like, mundles doesn’t even get top 5 for me :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I think Isidor at hull is the best, ran so far and that bit of skill and then to finish it how he did was incredible.

Ballard was the best moment in the history of the SOL imo.

My personal favourite was mayenda at Wembley, such a brilliant move and assist. Then the finish was incredible. The fans in the background was just magical.

Any of the Wembley goals, the Ballard goal, Isidor at Hull, Mayenda at Bristol city, then I won’t have any complaints.

    Mundle for me. Absolute screamer.

We had so many worldies this season I’ve taken emotion and game size out of it.

In terms of quality, Mayenda away to Bristol City or Mundle at home to Preston. Both so very good for different reasons.

It’s simply impossible to look past the Watson winner at Wembley for overall enjoyment though. I ascended to a spiritual nirvana for a few seconds after that.

Was a crazy feeling. I’d said never felt owt like the emotional release after Big Dan 122.

I’m 44 years old for the to be beaten a week later is mind blowing.

What shocked (although I don't think that's the right word) me more, it's that he hit it with his right foot. Most of the season he always tried to get a shot off from his left. If he can do that with his right and get that amount of power, he should trust it more

I think only that and Derby away were on his right foot both are really good finishes, can’t wait to see how he progresses next year

To be fair to him he has had a few goes with his right lately. A couple of decent efforts against Coventry included.
The lad gets better by the month. And really, he's hardly played!

since we don't score from headers Dan's was canny ! we will never see the likes again in any play offs like the championship this season, Sheff u sort of bored their way through. maybe we should do an all time best ever/important goal, that 2-0 win in Newcastle 1990 still ranks my favourite night ever 35 years on gabby and Gates are legends.
