Looks like the premier league can charge them after all, and any points deduction will apply next season in the championship. Athletic reporting could be a 12 point deduction, maybe more, they go for. Then there is a prospect of the EFL going after them for promotion season spending. Also sounds like there might some form of tfr embargo depending on next season figures. If all true, and you would imagine they have to sell sell sell to get a wage bill down it might be one less parachute club aiming for top 3 next season.
just shows how big the gulf is, crazy how they are going to be hit with a fines before City, if true, could take a couple of seasons before they can ammount a charge back to the PL
Forest got that but for less. Apparently Leicesters charge will classed as aggravated because they have appealed and had it delayed for 2 seasons. I dont know much about this side of things, but they seem to have played a game and got caught.
I got talking to a contractor at work a few weeks ago from Leicester and he told me this would happen. He reckons theyll have back to back relegations after a point deduction and transfer embargo with a squad in desperate need of new signings. Not to mention Vardy leaving them aswell.
Heres hoping Teams need to be punished for cheating, not given crappy 2 point deductions which can be wiped out after 1 game
blimey. That's significant. Could really help the Championship sides next year to have one fewer parachute team in the auto chase. That said, you have Birmingham who I fully expect to be in the top 6 to worry about. So it evens things out slightly.
Been ran horrifically since the owner died. His son just doesn't have the same passion for it. Bad thing is though, if they get a points deduction and it's under 10, they'll still be in and around the playoffs.
they are thinking it will be a significant deduction and a possible added transfer ban, they will need to sell massviely to make a dent in their wage bill,
The charmed life that Manchester City have means that they will probably get a 15 point addition next season along with an apology for all the trouble caused.
All the lads on the premier board are certain that any punishment will be insignificant. Apparently they’re using a barrister named Nick Demarco and his record is second to none for getting clubs off on technicalities. It’s the same guy that Man City use.
