Leicester look to be in bother

Looks like the premier league can charge them after all, and any points deduction will apply next season in the championship.

Athletic reporting could be a 12 point deduction, maybe more, they go for. Then there is a prospect of the EFL going after them for promotion season spending. Also sounds like there might some form of tfr embargo depending on next season figures.

If all true, and you would imagine they have to sell sell sell to get a wage bill down it might be one less parachute club aiming for top 3 next season.

if true, could take a couple of seasons before they can ammount a charge back to the PL

Forest got that but for less. Apparently Leicesters charge will classed as aggravated because they have appealed and had it delayed for 2 seasons. I dont know much about this side of things, but they seem to have played a game and got caught.

 

I got talking to a contractor at work a few weeks ago from Leicester and he told me this would happen. He reckons theyll have back to back relegations after a point deduction and transfer embargo with a squad in desperate need of new signings. Not to mention Vardy leaving them aswell.

Could really help the Championship sides next year to have one fewer parachute team in the auto chase. That said, you have Birmingham who I fully expect to be in the top 6 to worry about. So it evens things out slightly.

The charmed life that Manchester City have means that they will probably get a 15 point addition next season along with an apology for all the trouble caused.

 

Still expect them to challenge for a play-off spot.

Any idea when the points deduction will be decided?

 

All the lads on the premier board are certain that any punishment will be insignificant. Apparently they’re using a barrister named Nick Demarco and his record is second to none for getting clubs off on technicalities. It’s the same guy that Man City use.

 

I fully expect Everton to be deducted 6pts then
