Now that the celebrations are over we can get back to anxting about next season. Phil Chapple is back so recruitment is in safe hands. Hopefully sooner rather than later, but easier said than done. Over to the owners.
I don't think so, he has been out of the squad with injuries and it's suggesting he's becoming injury prone, granted the Welling pre-season does not come down as injury prone. I think his career looks elsewhere.
Who is out of contract at the end of June? Nobody worth keeping I assume, or it would have been taken care of already. Definitely time for a bonfire of the dead wood.
I would rather see him loaned out to a L1 or L2 team and us coughing up 80% of his wages, rather than having him hang around the Club next season.
We might just have to suffer the hit. I'm not buying him being out injured, too many times he's not been in the squad, at Wembley he was not on the bench.
I'm hoping it's because he's so big, that his injury-proneness is temporary due to his physical development. Time will tell, but even so strikers is a priority. I'm happy with the way Mannion has improved and deserves to keep the jersey. We need another midfielder who can put his foot on the ball, Coventry is the only one who can atm. Doc is great when the opposition have the ball, closing down etc, but we'll need more than that, and Berry can't play 90 minutes. We need Ramsay to sign a new contract, then the back 3 are ok but won't stay fit all season
Mannion did well in the final and towards the end of the season but that should not stop us looking for an upgrade
For me I'd keep small but also look at a replacement he only contributer what 7/8 goal contributions all season and he played a lot more advanced that the other side ( I know it's not his position ). A replacement for Berry as a starter. 2 attackers also a replacement for Campbell I think as again his output was really poor up until middle of March.
No surprises in the clubs announcement this evening. Aneke and Watson are the big names departing, small offered a new contract and the loanees return
