Mate - we'll have Fatawu and Mavididi the two wingers that were so instrumental in our last Championsip waltz back next season ... plus a better defence and, for many, better keeper ... midfield is perhaps the puzzle ... but we'll be much closer to the top than the bottom if the division, fir sure ... no matter how many 'wishful thinkers'
So you're confident you'll keep those 2. Ayew will tear it up Not forgetting the half squad of yoof that will get kicked to **** at Millwall, Pompey and the like
You know better than most how dross this league is. Unless they get a points deduction they’ll have a team that should piss top six comfortably.
True that Ayew is no Piroe or Bamford ... he's much better, particularly at Championship level... although I won't want him when we are back in the Prem... We'll likely move the following on: Daka Faes Vestergaard Ndidi Kristiansen De Cordova-Reid Winks Coady Soumare Hermandsen El Khanouss ... whilst the last 2 are excellent and I wouldn't mind keeping (especially El Khanouss) they are the most marketable and will bring in anything between £50 and £70m - combined with the others going we'll be bringing in North of £120m but also shedding some of the biggest salaries ... ... but the squad will be excellent in terms of the Championship ... Mavididi and Fatawu certainly staying and McAteer, Will Alves and Jeremy Monga as other wide options ... and Jake Evans and Lorenz Hutchinson to be mentored by Ayew in the striking roles... Sheffield United had the best defence in the Championship until Harry Souttar got injured ... we'll have him available next season along with Okoli and Couliballly signed from Atalanta and Parma respectively, plus FA Cup winners, Pereira, Thomas, Justin and Choudhry and a real talent in Ben Nelson who was on loan at Oxford last season ... Skipp will be more than effective in midfield and, if we lose El Khanouss, I expect we'll bring in another playmaker ... They'll be other strong squads for sure, but I'm more than happy with how ours will stand up
