All in on mayenda me like. Genuinely believe in ten years time we’ll be saying can’t believe he played for us at one point.

I thought he'd stood down from them back in March? He might still have his shares, though.

He's got all the talent, power, speed.... and a terrific character to go with it. With that interview mentioning how Mayenda is a big fan of wrestling, and was always practising the moves as a young un, I think you can see that in his play. Seems to relish the physical battles and doesn't get wound up if defenders try to push him about.

The frightening thing is his goal went right round the world... Our management team will be batting new suitors away from our door all summer.
Another thing has Jobe made his mind up yet...hope he stays.

OK, this won't win me many friends and might lose me a few but ... a couple of things from Wembley that I didn't like.

First, why do Sheff Utd need to 'mourn' George Baldock, again, who died in 2024 as did Charlie Hurley, our Player of the Century ...

... does this usually happen and does it set a precedent, is Wembley the right place for this?

Secondly how many of you present, or watching on TV, learned how to do CPR.

I really don't think it's the right place for either tbh, nor do I see why we need Wembley to dictate what everyone sings.

    A meringue?

The CPR bit was a bit odd i thought.
It's not just knowing HOW to do it, but it's knowing WHEN to do it.
That wasn't explained at all...do it on a breathing casualty and it can cause serious problems.
I get they want to promote CPR, but I don't think a Wembley final, or any football match for that matter, is the time or place to do it.

're the George Baldock thing.. imo this as crept into society after the death of Princess Diana, a tragic loss but for me the nation went completely overboard in its 'mourning' and it seems to be the norm now, tons of flowers at tragic events and so on.

Acknowledging the passing of a player the week after they're death should be enough in my view, keeping it going for 12+ month's isn't normal in my book, immediate family obviously carry on their grief but these public displays are really bizarre in my view.

Life moves on and thats how it should be,....as for the heart attack thing I can see its an important message but if your that concerned about learning CPR do you really need a major sporting event to remind you.
    Anyway that's my thoughts.

I thought it was all a bit strange. Yes George Baldock was a sad event and if it had happened just before the final I could've understood, I found it afterwards that the clapping on the 22nd minute was for a Sheffield Utd fan who died. As for the CPR, yes it's important to know and I've done a first aid course previously at work and it was included and what they didn't tell you was where to position your hands before you start. Showing the rhythm on a cushion doesn't really teach you fully

I was in Northamptonshire Police when Diana passed away and as you and many know, she is (allegedly) buried in the grounds of Althorp House in the county.
It was a massive operation and the eyes of the world were on our tiny little county.
As expected, the last couple of miles leading up to Althorp were teaming with people. All leave was cancelled unless there were extenuating circumstances like a holiday abroad for a relatives wedding that had been booked three years before sort of thing. To be honest we pulled it off flawlessly.
There were crowds there until midnight laying flowers and lighting candles, crying and wailing as if their own parents had carked it.
So, the next year, the first anniversary of her death, it was expected that similar numbers would be there, such was the love the public had for the people’s princess. And so another operation was planned. Shouldn’t have bothered, cos no-one bothered to turn up. Such is the fickleness of the world. Somebody else who was famous had probably died in the intervening year and the media attention and faux outpouring of grief would have been centred on them.

Don't mind admitting that when we got to "and I can't help" part of Wise Men Say, I had to stop singing cos I was choked. First time I've been like that, even when I was there in 73, when I was much much younger.

Unless you tell me different the end of the Wycombe game was nothing like Saturday.

I think we'd been told, so many times, how much momentum Coventry had, how much better Sheff Utd were, etc, that it was a mixture of elation, relief and 'f*ck you' when the final whistle blew ...

... not to mention the fact we'd been relegated and relegated again leaving us a huge battle to get back.

Just as emotional as Wycombe but in a different way imo.

I can see the sense in trying to raise awareness of learning CPR, but found it strange to have a random demonstration on the pitch, especially when a big majority have had a drink or 2 and have been built up towards kick off
