If it was a genuine option to buy then Cardoso would have has to agree to it including salary etc. If it wasn't that then if exercised it might give us the difference between the cash Betis get and €25m so Atletico would have to negotiate with us to sign him.
The agreement gave Spurs first refusal when negotiating with Betis. The rest is up to the player and obviously he doesn’t want to join us. Ange out!
Yeah does seem that way. I’ve seen very little of him so don’t know if he’s any good or not but if the coin wanted him then it’s a waste
Don’t want no European runner up anyway, we take winners only, thanks. All seriousness, if there’s any truth that Bayern are gonna sell/ listen to offers for Palhinha already I think we should be all over that. Baleba at Brighton looks a bit of a beast too, standard Brighton wonder-signing as per.
Grifter Alert If you see anything posted by CoysConf, you can safely ignore it It's just invertthewing's new alt, having closed his previous ITK account after getting rinsed for saying Bilbao wanted Richy and Solomon
Also reportedly gave us a share of the player, so we get a cut of the fee if he joins somebody else Are we sure Paratici wasn't around last summer, as that's a pretty common Serie A move?
Yeah does sound very Italian like. Didn’t Spurs make money on Begovic years ago without ever signing him?
Now that it looks like we've decided to go for Benjamin Sesko ahead of Viktor Gyokeres, it does make me think whether you guys will go for the Swedish striker instead. You guys clearly need a better option up front. I'm not convinced Richarlison will stay and I think Solanke, though is a decent Premier League player, isn't a top-5 level centre-forward (in my opinion). Any of you reckon you'll be in for Gyokeres?
I'm a long time 'Trekkie' but was a bit burned out by DS9 and didn't really love Enterprise, either. Maybe time to re-visit?
Ben Davies linked with Wrexham. Good move all round. He’s experienced and easily good enough for that level.
I've seen it mentioned that, while the club does have the option to extend his contract for a year, he's respected enough behind the scenes that the club is leaving the decision up to him if he wants to stay or move on
Today's biggest transfer news: Dan KP has left the Standard for The Athletic to be an editor So somebody's losing Tier 1 status, as Dan KP and Jack ****t-Brooke can't both be their Spurs correspondent Also sums up how bad the Standard is now

They'll probably have no problems finding new clubs, though Whiteman's might be at quite a low level. I believe Werner's only got a year left on his contract, but his reputation's quite screwed now. I hope that he can recover it a bit, as he always put a good shift in for us, even when it wasn't working. Can't say that any of the academy releases really stand out, to be honest. Doesn't mean that they can't turn it round from this point, though. Players like Eze and Vardy prove that.
