Thought Maresca was a bizarre appointment at the time like but top 4 and now a trophy (I mean was harder to not win it but still), cant knock that from him. BTW what were Man City thinking with letting Palmer go, such a ridiculous decision. For such a well ran operation over the past few years, they got complacent when it came to getting their top older players ready to be replaced. Now its like they are doing it in one swoop which is a lot harder, Palmer was already there waiting in the wings. Strange decision.
If I was Gaston or what ever his name is that attempted to play right back first half, I'd keep my head down, get my medal and pretend I didn't play the first half
FFP sale was it not? I know they don't exactly abide by the rules but I seem to recall that being the major reason
Palmer and Alvarez for me. Obviously got some massive money but 2 players that would dominate for years. They let Morgan Rogers go too didn't they.
Ah that would make a bit more sense. Still though ****e planning and they've lost a gem there. Crazy when you think how perfect he would fit in to how they play.
Yep. Thats what you're up against in the Prem. Then you've got Chelsea hoarding all the u20s across the world they can find. Changes they could make second half man, just totally overpowered them. Felt for Betis.
Who's that on comms ****ing himself into oblivion over this young plucky Chelsea team? Going there own way and being so great? They have spent over a billion pound, bought 136 young players sacked 2 managers and have 48 players out on loan. What a brilliant way to go, other teams should follow this
Whens that starting? My lass isnt going to be happy when that gets put on the tele. Told her theres only the CL final left now for two months.
None of this is a patch on when Celtic won the European Cup with ten Glaswegians and a foreigner from thirty miles away ... ... I doubt the Chelsea fans could even spell their team's names tbh This is just a competition like sports day at a junior school, lots of games so everyone get a prize.
