Well I’m watching the footie and Pellegrini 71 making his team play quickly and well - while Chelsea are passing too much and Betis get back in position , then there’s no room.
Yeah, but opposite extremes. Truth is pretty much always somewhere in between. There's good and bad in all ownerships. Off the pitch I have few complaints. But his decisions shaping what happens on it have led to us being no better off than under the previous ownership, except now with a millstone of unsustainable debt around our neck.
A very level headed assessment of Acuns tenure of the club. We all have the common goal of seeing our club doing well in a higher league keeping its head above water financially. Acuns not perfect but things could and have been a lot worse. Let’s not kill the golden goose just yet.
People have short memories. We've been in far, far worse situations than this. We are sat waiting for a new manger, who is likely to be decent, and we will be spending decent cash on players. A fresh start. If its terrible at Christmas I will happily apologise to those who predicted Acun would destroy us but at the minute it's the time to get behind him, his new manager and the team. That's literally our job as fans.
They definitely could have if they wanted to. But given that Baz and Mike White reported it, I think it's clear that the club were OK with it getting out.
Because even if you think Acun is an idiot he isn't going to pick one of his mates again. And in all fairness you could say all of his managers have been 'decent' when you look at their careers, they just weren't given the tools to do their jobs properly with the exception of Rosenior who appeared to be polar opposites to Acun in terms of style and direction.
You say this to him as if you're really chill, but you post on here a lot too and a lot of it is bonkers stuff about your personal hatred of Baz Cooper, so it seems a bit rich.
I don’t think he’s an idiot - but I do think he’s naive when it comes to our division. Shota and Walter were both worrying appointments, with Selles and Rosenior still both gambles considering their records so far. It’s definitely possible that we get a decent manager, but I think Acun’s record so far and the rumours suggest it’s going to be another risk which may or may not pay off.
I mean, I appreciate the concern about my wellbeing by Jim but it’s really not that deep. I just don’t like Acun.
It really isn't. I don't hate Baz Cooper at all, I just find the current social media journalist style of being desperate to get people to click things quite annoying and he is one of them Hate is a strong word. I'm also far from worked up when posting on here. I'm quite surprised that you've managed to grasp that from my style of posting. I usually read when I eat my breakfast and again at lunch. Tonight I've posted a lot more than I normally would as I'm enjoying reading replies and posting back. But I'm very calm, I can assure you of that. As I said I don't need to stress about the financial side of Hull City, I don't write the cheques nor do I need to answer to the guy who does. Let those people stress about it was my simple message to Kalman.
Most appointments are risks , squads could be crap , squad could be good but the method adopted doesn’t work with them , we’ve seen good managers go to good clubs and fail . Benitez spent about £350 mill didn’t he at Liverpool or something ridiculous and didn’t do as well as he should .
Walter had been top end of the second tier in Germany. I'm not sure many were worried when he came in. The worry started during pre season but the poor sod was having to play Will Jarvis and Harry Vaughan. Until the manager is announced then it's hard to assess how much of a risk this appointment will be. If he doesn't sign the right players it doesn't matter who the manager is anyway.
Kind of I guess, although Selles did manage to get much more out of the players than Walter did so it will matter. And I agree with you - it’s hard to assess. That’s why I was puzzled as to why you put ‘likely to be a decent manager’. The truth is we don’t know.
People keep saying that about Selles and Walter re the squads but they were very different by the time Selles had taken his hat off and got settled in. I always said Tim messed up by not just calming it down and play safe with the rubbish he had to work with which I guess Selles did to get the immediate results. I am guessing the manager will be decent, in terms of a big name or decent record, because Acun knows this one needs to get the fans back on side. You're right though it's obviously just guesswork.
