The article is actually about our 18s under Bellamy. It shows how tough a business it is. Even the ones who made it aren't out and out first choice. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/what-happened-cardiff-city-youth-31267766
At least 1 team is having a good season. If/when we get relegated I hope some of those get opportunities next season. Many already well thought of: - Colwill x 2 Ashford Davies Lawlor Giles Perrot Reindorf King Kpakio Simic And many more (I have probably forgotten some). Keep and develop those plus some of the seniors - those who want to stay and we want to keep - and add some seasoned, older heads to guide them and we have the makings of a good side.
Another one I've been watching for a while is Will Spiers - a quick overlapping right wingback. He had another good game today.

As has been said all along, looks like some good youngsters coming through............... https://www.indyrs.co.uk/2025/05/qpr-u18-0-cardiff-city-u18-7/
We also have 7 players in the U-21 squad for their upcoming games. As dark as times seem right now, there are clearly glimmers of light and hope for the future still!
As by glass is more than half empty. That depends on the manager, their attitude towards youngsters, the game plan, and how we integrate them into the first team.
No, more than half empty. Not based on the young talent, but on the management of the club. Unless Tan sorts his $h!t out, it won't matter how much talent is coming through.
A ruck of city youngsters called into the Wales 21s as well. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/tonights-cardiff-city-news-clubs-31736729
I think you need to lay off the downers and try some uppers Remote. I can't remember a time when we have had such a crop of young talent and coming through at the same time. If VT has done one thing right it is his investment in the academy and, it appears, overall good management through the grades. I agree that the right structure must be in place to ensure the development of the youngsters we have and those following is maximised for the benefit of the club but without these players we really would have nothing to fall back. In that respect my glass is much more than half full. While at a different level look what the good and very good young guys did for Man U and to a lesser extent Swansea.
