What position is the numero uno required. Im the upcoming short window. The player you’d sign first and foremost and why? Who’s the dream signing and who’s the realistic signing? A CB to compliment Botman, a CF to take the strain off Isak, an additional RW, is Pope to much of a risk? Is there someone who is attainable right now we risk missing out on if we wait around? For me it’s got to be a RW, Mbuemo the dream and realistic to a degree. Need another winger as both Gordon and Barnes have proven they are solely LW candidates. If not I’d like to see Cherki (aka HBA2.0) come in if Mbuemo ends up elsewhere but fear he may not have the work rate for Howe. Barring those two, I’d love to see Jarrod Bowen in the famous Black and White and he must be a bit beyond dragging West Ham around by the ear!
We'll do nothing in most the areas we expect. I think it's grab what you can if it presents itself at this point. It won't surprise me if no RW player comes in and if Murphy is still there next season.
Having seenhow utterly **** nick pope is at kicking a ball I’d have to say a new keeper. Followed quickly after by a speed merchant right winger.
In OoP 1) RW that can double as a CF. Mbeumo would be ideal. 2) Keeper. Pope is a great shot stopper, but prone to a massive rickett and is mind bogglingly bad with a ball at his feet. Will cost us. 3) CB. Cover / competition / rotation.
Keeper. Think pope doesn’t give any sense of calm and is an accident waiting to happen. But only just. We need 6 players, 4 almost all equal importance.
I've been bouncing between keeper & RW, however I've just decided to go a bit rogue and say that I think we need a CM more than we need any other position. While we have 3 of the best midfielders in the prem, we ask them to do an awful lot of work with no rotation. When one is out we just lose all control of the middle of the park and hence look more likely to lose the matches. Dream would be Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig Realistic option could be Morgan Rogers from Villa due to them looking like they have to sell someone to avoid PSR problems. Maybe a bit of a long shot if they can get takers for other players by the end of June but not impossible.
