Always so many different ways to argue that though. Arsenal fans on whole had a very enjoyable 9 months watching their team. A few disappointing results but real excitement in a title charge and winning majority of games as well as a fun CL experience. Ultimately no huge celebration though. Spurs fans though had a proper miserable 9 months. Watching their team lose majority of the time, constant poor performances and wanting their manager gone etc. but then had 1 game of pure joy and 1 day of pure celebration. Would you rather have 9 months of happy enjoyable weekends watching your team win but not ultimately having that 1 day of celebration? or would you be content with 9 months of awfulness, having mates/colleagues rip puss because your team has been **** to then experience 1 day of happiness? No right or wrong answer. I bet majority of Arsenal fans wouldn’t swap their seasons for spurs. But imagine majority of spurs wouldn’t swap either. I still think to label spurs season ‘outstanding’ is going too far. The season on a whole was poor but, they delivered a European trophy and broke that 17 year drought so it can be seen in some sense as a success. Outstanding? That was Liverpool or Newcastle or Palace.
Sels Aina Saliba VVD Cucurella Mac Caicedo Rice Salah Isak Semenyo Thats if being true to actual positions played. Otherwise could easily shove Bowen or Mbuemo in at right wing. Wood Wissa Elanga Rogers Eze Tielemans can all put up an argument as well.
Finish 2nd and you have a reasonable indicator of your quality - not too far off. Finish 17th and you have a reasonable indicator of your quality - absolute ****e. Whist delighted to win a trophy, no honest person can claim they've had a good season. PL position shows the standard you are at, not fluking a cup win. If Ange had been honest he'd have said something along the lines of "I'm delighted to win this cup, of course, but I'm under no illusions as to how poor our season has been and the amount of work necessary to make us competitive in the league". Saying what he said, the way he said it, just made him look a dick.
I wouldn't say Arsenal had nine good months. Yes, they were in a title hunt initially but it was pretty much over by January/February. That's seven months at best. But I'm just being pedantic. I definitely land on the season long results over a cup win
I've never been able to take to him, tbh. A bit of a belligerent attitude, and as for that ridiculous high line he played...
Wolves reject ManU's bid for Cunha. They can't agree on a payment schedule. ManU want to pay over 5 years. Wolves want it all upfront I expect they'll reach a compromise, but shows just poor ManU are without CL. Guess if they pay like Wolves want, they wont be able to afford all they need without big sales.
Would dispute caicedo as rice could go there and would make a case for kerkez ar lb It's a premier league team.of year so it's quite hard to go without any forest players bar one. Why should wolves help them or the player one bit. The contract is crystal clear. Same argument for lfc and zubimendi. Pay or don't pay. At least utd know the guy wants to join.for reals.
Caucedo and Cucurella have been brilliant for a **** chelsea team to be fair. Really consistent and Cucurella got some hugely important goals. Rice hasn’t really played as DM hence not going for him but can def see arguments for all of them.
Been OK so who did better, that's why I'd give kerkez a shout. Guimaraes might be a shout for cm. Either way it's not got massive.putstanding candidates
Good signing and fits their formation. Mbuemo would also be a great signing for any prem club tbh, but I don’t see where he fits with uniteds 532 system as they don’t play with wingers hence trying to get rid of Sancho Rashford Garnacho Antony.
I see making utd's fee public has paid ofr for wolves as utd fold like a cheap deckchair as usual. Pay the fee per the contract.
Is Cunha a good signing? Time will tell but I worry/hope that he's the sort of player Man Utd have bought too may of - talented but not the right mentality. Mbuemo feels the better signing if he can fit their System.
I like Cunha, he's a player I wouldn't have minded us signing previously. Definitely an improvement for Man Utd but they certainly need more than just him.
I wouldn't want Cunha. I didn't want Pennant or Bellamy when we signed them either for same reason. Doesn't matter if you're talented if you're a hot-headed twat I don't want you in my club. I'm sure there are lots of mixed opinions about Cunha at United.
While Ratcliffe United may want to sell some players for big fees, I cannot see any club anywhere in Europe paying over the odds for the likes of Anthony, Sancho, Rashford and whoever else they may want to sell.
Nunez? Then perhaps they have a good chance of topping the table .......,,,,,,,,,, for yellow and red cards!!!
Let's have a big shoutout for Real Betis tonight, with Antony scoring the winning goal. It would be good to shut up the arrogant Chelsea fans who seems to think they are brilliant!!!
