Yeah he was a couple of times the pool players fell over when getting breathed on. Cheers for telling me
There was another handball in the 2nd too of a shot by Morgan. Player's arm deflected the ball over the bar.
There's no need for all this criticism! Yes he had a bad game but he isn't exactly going to be brimming with confidence with the lack of games he's had! We should be supporting him not slating him!
I don't think I have ever seen as bad a performance from a goalkepper, as I did today. As the OP says, it wasn't just his horror error for the 2nd goal, he was dreadful from the first minute to the last. God help us if he's still in goal at Fratton Park next weekend.
Can only hope that Davis is fit for next week, because if Bart was nervous today, he'll be doubly so next week in front of the Fratton End giving him stick. He even looked nervous in the warm-up and left the pitch way before the rest of the team. Strange, although I guess Saints had no choice but to play him and says a lot for our back up keepers if they can't make the bench. Feel sorry for the lad, but he can't play next weekend.
So you would rather Forecast play? If Davis is out, we have no other better options. If he does play, he at least needs his own clubs supporters supporting him.
Yeah, i feel sorry for him too. Send him out on loan to gain some confidence, and see how he is. He clearly just choked under the nerves. If Adkins rates him, in Adkins I put my faith. Some people need to get behind the team instead of incessantly complaining. De Ridder should have crossed it, but he made a big impact when he came on, so how you can say he is **** is beyond me.
I think Bialkowski will be playing against Portsmouth if Davis has a groin strain. Strangely I think that an away game might be easier for him, less under the spotlight. Adkins was being extremely positive about Bialkowski saying how much they rate him and that he just needs more time in the arena, sounds like he will be playing.
With all the support in the world, if Bart plays next week, there is a massive doubt in the head of not only his defenders, but the fans as well and it would be a confidence boost to the opposition. But this isn't the first time for Bart, he let in a similar goal against West Brom in the pre-season friendly.
I could understand your thinking, if that away wasn't at Fratton Park. But it is. We need Davis fit for it.
But if Davis is not fit we have to play someone unless you want to try and complete rookie. Tough call for Adkins maybe.
Feel sorry for the lad. I've personally seen enough of him to see that he is a very good goalkeeper but he seems to have issues with confidence and consistency Would be good to see him loaned out at some point to a league 1 or 2 club to get some regular football.
I don't think there's any question that Bart will keep his place if Davis isn't fit - you can't throw in one the kids, with no experience at all, against Pompey. But that doesn't stop me believing that we're in deep, deep trouble next week if Bart does play. As I say, we need to pray that Davis is fit.
No way against Pompey. Kelvin would do better with a broken leg. Poor Bart, terrible perormance, very odd.
Shame that Leeds snapped up Maik Taylor on a free last month (and then went and got McCarthey on loan, so they don't even need Taylor any more).
