I can't stop thinking about this and every time I think about it, it makes me angry. Having to stay out the way of my family because that anger gets the better of me! It's ****ing disgusting behaviour by a ****ing **** and coward! Just hope he got what he deserved before the police got to the ****
Sounds like no fatalities so far at least. 47 injured, 27 taken to hospital, and two serious injuries, including one child.
No it won't mate, there is no way that any normal person can put this on the people of your city regardless of football support. This is a shocking event in any sane persons mind and only one man is to blame.
Its already happening in social media land, mate. I've seen despicable comments and laughing emojis since it happened
Plymouth Argyle supporter here in peace, one of a small band who remain on this board rather than toxic social media. I just wanted to express my anger at this evil and cowardly attack on fellow football fans merely enjoying an innocent celebration. It’s said not to be terror but it’s hard to see what other reason there could be apart from outright lunacy or evil. Since around the time of our FA Cup game against you, we’ve had vehicle traps blocking the access road on which fans gather before entering the ground. It’s a sad comment on what the world has come to. Best wishes to all who’ve been affected.
It is all very confusing and terrible. There was no phones as every cell tower was utterly swamped. The mayor says 4 people are very very ill. Which i don't want to guess at but we all know.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce8209lzzp4o Details are sketchy and some online are trying to make him into the victim. It seems he decided he was in a hurry to go and was going no matter what. It's utterly utterly utterly terrible that this appears to be some purely selfish motivation that has lead to all of this. Only time will tell what that motivation was
Sounds like just some twat that felt his life and time was far more important than everyone else’s. The same type that sit an inch from your ass when driving along the motorway overtaking, weaving in an out of traffic or overtaking on single carriage only to then be 1 car ahead at the lights… Hopefully is done for attempted murder because everyone recovers ok but for some reason doing anything dangerous with a car is always seen as a lesser crime than using a knife or something which boggles the mind.
Given the history of Police investigations and Liverpool, I do hope that the police silence doesn’t go on for too much longer. Answers are required. Why? how?
Thry didn't close the car parks or he was a resident in am not sure which little car park it was but he was able to get out of it anyway. The parade was historic, legendary, unprecedented. There had to be a million or more. The train stations were jammed. Nobody was being allowed into stations coming to Liverpool never mind arriving. The police couldn't cope but got there fast. The security to close those car parks 24 hours prior and keep them closed and all cars away wasn't there. It couldn't have been. They will do the usual investigations and will have to give some details but they also have to prosecute properly so telling us he was high or drunk or just angry will prevent that. It seems he got into the car after the parade and decided he was going wherever to do whatever. He got into a crowd of thousands and reversed into people and then decided to go forward and drove over people. It's so terrible It's mindless and senseless. It seems to not be an angry terrorist type with some point to make. It's so so so terrible.
Sometimes these things do take time out of necessity though. The police will never release information that could prejudice an investigation.
Thoughts and prayers with all those affected yesterday, especially those who were injured and those still in hospital, (wishing them a speedy recovery) but also everyone who witnessed the incident.
Absolutely disgusting, a miracle that no has died and fingers crossed that remains. We didn’t know anything about it until hours after because of the lack of signal, utterly horrifying watching that back, can’t imagine what everyone went through in the vicinity
