More like a goal we’d score than a Wilder side.

It wasn't like we lost it without getting the ball into a dangerous position first mind. Our set pieces have been excellent throughout the playoffs in my opinion - some real innovative, well designed and well executed routines.

Someone mentioned that their goal may have partly come about because Mepham didn't know his role/part in the corner routine having not been a starter

Everyone seems to missed Riggs perfectly timed tackle in the box also. Could've easily got it wrong

That's the thing with the club now, players want ti come here for the football and the club rather than because we are paying more

Yeah absolutely fair mate and bang on with the corner tactics, especially in the semi finals, they were brilliant and possibly contributed to the Ballard winner.

Think it’s a pet hate of mine short corners, I’m just not with the modern game enough to appreciate them lol.

That 10 seconds summed up this team really. Never ever give up and dig each other out after a mistake.

The whole run was so different to League One.

We were on the back foot going into semis and I think that lead the truly wild scenes.

Was 3 such close and tight games, Wycombe day I was chill as **** I knew we were winning.

Never had that this time at all and it just added to the wonder.

I will never, ever forget the SOL scenes when big Dan scored, never.

I will never forget my brain going i to slow mo when Tommy hit ot, and the young lads to my left letting out a 15 second shriek sounded like when Mini-Me gets booted across room in Austin Powers.

    Wonderful.

It’s been a powerful weekend mate, quite emotional.

Everything has been overwhelming from the huge turnout, at the Argyll, to these clips turning up with Bradley, O’Nien, Le Fèe, etc.

I’m probably over defensive, of the club, but that comes from decades of travelling everywhere through the violent 70’s to living for years amongst supporters from other clubs …

… but this weekend has shown what a great support we have.

I had a few tears after the game tbh. Partly through all the tension of the three playoff games but also because of what a great day everyone had at the Argyll

When I arranged it all I had to make various promises of numbers to get all the tables I needed, inside and out, as it’s a busy pub for Oxford Street shoppers and it shares Argyll Street with the London Palladium.

The sheer relief of having hundreds of our supporters show up was immense <laugh>

everyone I work with has been asking me questions

one, who hates football, said they got invested as her partner had it on, and she was like, ok. I get it. I understand the passion now. I get it,

It’s wide reaching mate. The amount of convos I’ve had with the locals here is crazy. They ask, I say ‘Sunderland’ they are ‘ahhhhhhhh well done’

It’s the PL. it’s as big time as it gets.

Bloke next to me kept banging on about the short corner but I don’t see that was the direct reason for the goal.

would be interested to see our success rate short vs long.

Ya missed the bit where she said "I couldn't live without a weekly savaloy dip from Jackie Whites!".

Seriously though, it's great to hear she is happy aswell I am going to assume that it's down to the spirit at the club. I imagine the player and their families are like extended families as they all seem the type to support wash other! And if at the previous club she didn't have that and felt a bit isolated the weather and lack of shops cna be informed as they can get all that easy with their money, jump in a plane or helicopter etc... but having a support network and friends makes all the difference and if a club is all cliquey would be horrible!

What a great pub! Absolutely brilliant turnout! When I got there just before you there were 3 Sheffield fans hanging around waiting for it to open. They sharp moved on when more of our fans turned up!! <laugh><laugh><laugh>

It's a mad pub like. Rather deceiving in terms of size, just seems to go back and back into eating areas and space.

I suppose, when you have a young French billionaire owner who is willing to live in the area and dedicate himself to the club it sets the tone for the likes of Le Fee and co who could quite happily be living it up somewhere warmer and more glamourous.
