Patto has looked back to form lately. He has dropped a few KG and it shows and it's helping. Long may it continue

Fair enough, perhaps it's time I stopped posting and leave it to the likes of you.

In all honesty it's becoming more trouble than it's worth.

A bit of humour and harmless optimism seems to be more than some people can stomach.

I haven't lumped myself in with anyone, people should be able to comment what they like and not be told what they can and can't say which is what you seem to be doing

I don't come and go, i left once for a little bit and came back as I missed discussing all things Sunderland with people. I regularly post when here, good bad and indifferent

I care about this forum, I love speaking all things Sunderland but it'll be ruined if people are getting told what can and can't be said

Mind you he didnt have a lot to do , and both goals conceeded were class finishes, but would not swap him for Patto thats for sure.

Haha the WADA monitoring programme will have something to say!

He has been doing the hard graft to be fair. Double sessions, extra runs with Moore and one of the GK coaches

Aye on Patto, I never had a big problem with his drop in form (it happens short term all over the pitch) but he’s looked noticeably ****ing superb lately.

Interesting that, in some peoples opinion, because Coventry had more possession we were lucky yet despite us having more possession than Sheffield United we were still the lucky ones. Amount of goals scored mustn't count then <confused>:emoticon-0136-giggl

OK, I'll repeat myself once again for clarity.

I'm not telling people what they can or can't post.

I'm suggesting those who don't feel inclined to respect RTB's wishes, on a thread he's put his heart into, should simply have their own.

Seriously what is your problem with that?

So now the man who says people should be able to say what they choose is telling me to shut up ...

    ... what a hypocrite <laugh>

Take your own advice and put me on ignore, there's a good lad.

For my part,I welcome healthy debate on here presenting different views on a relevant subject,as long as posters can articulate the reasoning behind their various opinions.I often find thought-stimulating content raising points and information which I may not have considered,or not been aware of.
I wouldn't want to see any change to that, where people are expected to post on one thread or another, according to their point of view. I'm generally a glass half full kind of fella, and there are a small number on here who continually post in a negative vein without articulating a coherent argument as to why they hold their view.
I know who they are and I largely try to ignore them. What I would hope to see is that those who relentlessly criticise are able to hold their hands up when their criticism is clearly unfounded.
I can roll that ball in that I was critical of RLB team selection for the half a dozen games or so before the play-off matches, a plan I was sure he'd got wrong.
However,I'm delighted to say I got that completely mistaken and I now think RLB is a total genius! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Don't forget our goals were down to individual errors while all other team's goals were because they were dominating the game.

It's amazing that every bunch of supporters will claim we only scored from the attempts we had ...

... while totally ignoring all of our other attempts.

Coventry had no decent shots, Patterson made no noeworthy saves, there were no penalty shouts, no one on ones, no one going through on goal, no woodwork hit, no goal line clearances ...

... but they were robbed <laugh>

I've nicked this from OTR from after the semi final second leg but it was something along the lines of this:

After the first leg, "the fans were celebrating like we were already at Wembley."
After the second leg, "the fans were celebrating like we had already been promoted."
Now there will be comments like were celebrating like we've already stayed up next season.

Credit cant be given when it is due unfortunately. RLB nailed the playoffs, with his systems, his subs and the timing of his subs. Not to mention the work that went in before those games to get us ready. Unfortunately for the critics, they cant do anything about it and theyve got a long summer ahead as we can look back on a historic fortnight and speculate on what could be a bright future for our club. We dont know how things will turn out but Im happy to live in the moment, because it wont get much better than right now.
