used to work over washington and a bus load of them arrived each day...most had 'the tops' on and i swear to you that most of them stunk, not sure if it was stale sweat or just normal but those not part of the crew just wanted them down the other end of the factory.

The scenes at the playoff semi and final were enough for me. We are back in the prem and that is all that counts. No parades or trying to drum up extra interest with meaningless parades or parties in a park.
We know there is still work to do!

I don't mind if they get on top of a bus or something like that. Many people don't go and would want to wish them well, or couldn't get on Saturday. It is the endless, over indulgence of the Saudis that was and is so cringe worthy. Did Palace go on like that when they won the FA Cup?

The Carabao Cup circus was a sportswashing masterclass. The Saudi's rightly took the credit for NUFC's first silverware in 70 years but also broadcasted hundreds of thousands of NUFC fans celebrating and praising the regime.

Off the back of that, they paid influencers on social media to promote visitsaudi dot com.

"Why not celebrate in Saudi Arabia?"

I wonder how many went <laugh>

Someone just messaged me about Newcastle airport changing it's name ...

... he won't say what to and keeps posting smiley faces.

    Have you heard anything.

There was talk last year of Infrabridge looking to sell their 49% stake.

PIF already own a share of Heathrow airport so there was speculation they'd buy in.

I heard nothing after that, time to fire up Google <laugh>

They’re having a full meltdown after the airport congratulated us on Facebook.

Luckily for me, I was out of the country, though they were still banging on about it when I got back, three weeks after the game!

I'm really not sure they could cope with that tbh ...

... they're capable of shouting at the airport and demanding questions are raised in the House <laugh>

The only reason they want ‘derby days back’ is because of the gulf between the teams due to them having a squad that cost over £600m (be more when we play next) and ours costing less than £20m. They think it’s a guaranteed 6 points, which it should be. The derby will never be the same now, they go into them where they literally have to win or it’s an utter embarrassment, we don’t.

And the obvious elephant in the room what they won’t be happy about as the national and local media has brushed the Saudi state ownership under the rug, we are now in a position to have it brought back into the spotlight which is what they don’t want.

But anyways, **** them, and **** what they’ve become and what they protested for and are now embracing. I couldn’t be more prouder of Sunderland or happier with what we are trying to do and how we are doing it. These two weeks have shown me it’s not just about winning, it’s the memories along the way the counts. Haway the lads.
