The idea of Leicester imploding with RM at the helm is so goddamn delicious, it would make this season worth it.

They mentioned on TSP that the televised matches for the Championship for the entire first half of the season would be announced a week or so after the fixtures are announced (iirc).
So for those who need to plan their games you shouldn’t suddenly have a game switched to another date or time.

Yeah they did it really early this season up until about March apparently.

Will be really handy tbh, I'm just hoping one of the skates games doesn't land on my nipper's birthday.

I've already had a talk with him about it (<laugh>) but it'd be much easier if it was just some dull match like Hull at home.

Hoping we're playing one of the Sheffield teams when the snooker is on!

I am pretty sure that after all our fans singing it when relegation was confirmed, the first away day is Coventry

Interesting thing I heard on TSP that the police have apparently been given 250k budget to cover both derbies next season.

Wonder how much the bubble costs. Apparently one for Wrexham Chester about a decade ago cost about 40k but you'd think it'd be significantly more down here plus of course inflation.

EFL guidelines state that 12 points should be docked for a PSR breach, with deductions applied on a sliding scale if the breach is less than £15m. So leicester's £17m means 12 minimum <laugh>

"In addition, the Premier League are expected to argue for more points to be docked due to aggravating factors, with Leicester also charged with not supplying their annual accounts to the Premier League by 31 December 2024 and failing to provide full, complete and prompt assistance to the Premier League in response to the league’s inquiries."

Sounds like the PL want to throw the book at them after they escaped punishment on a technicality last time.

    Such a shame <laugh>

Think I heard somewhere that there's a good chance it'll be applied to PL season rather than Championship. Might have been Kieran Maguire.

Would have to be sorted pretty soon if that's the case though surely.

Yeah to be fair if they deducted 100 points how would it matter? They would be relegated and we would get £2-3m extra for finishing 2nd last.

Any points deduction needs to be next year to count now.

Didn’t our 10pt deduction get deferred to League 1 because we were already relegated from the Championship?

Yeah when we were given it it was stated that if we stayed up it'd be applied that season and if not the next season. Our relegation was then confirmed the following weekend after a 2-2 draw with Burnley.

Entirely different circumstances though of course.

I don't agree with points deductions. They appertain to the way the club is run and should be replaced with a fine and directors being banned from football. Points deductions affect the sporting element and ultimately the fans. I do not want to see football leagues concluding with points deducted for financial irregularities as opposed to being for games won.

I disagree. Points deductions are because the club gained an unfair advantage over the rest of the league and taking those points away makes it fairer. Additionally it is funny when it is Leicester <laugh>

They should get both a points deduction and a transfer embargo. Think the EFL could put an embargo on them where they set a wage limit, max loan fee etc.
They’ve been caught cheating not just for one season but at least 3. They broke PRS in first relegation season, Championship season and were still over this season, as think I read they’re still predicted to be £17 million over this season based on the 3 year period.

If they get a points deduction before they switch manager I can see RM turning them down.

I am not a fan of Leicester but totally disagree that deducting points is ethical or even logical. In the time frame in question , they have suffered 2 relegations so obviously financial irregularities have no bearing on success. Spending money has not made them any better !

Penalise the directors and not the fans. Ban directors from football or , better still, ban them from.all businesses and tidy up the game.

Deducting points does have too greater an effect. Portsmouth have been in the duldrums for 15 years because of it even though the club have had 2 'good' owners since the points deductions.

The sport element is about playing football and not the integrity of the company's balance sheets.

How about that club who were relegated to League One a few years ago and started the season on -10 points? Despite that, they nearly made the playoffs that season and got automatic promotion the following year. A year after that, they were back in the Premier League. The points deduction didn’t do them much harm, did it?

I think they were called South-something?
