Think he blows a bit in the last twenty too. He gets a few yellows from lazy tackles around then when he's a bit knackered. Wasted when the ball is getting hoofed upfield all the time though.

In the matchday programme he also says, in a bit of a question and answer thing, that "stuttering penalties are woke"<laugh><laugh>

May I just say, massive thanks to Smug for a fantastic day in the boozer, and Daz for the ticket, and finally Marcus black cat for the whole days craic, while driving.
Met some great lads off here, a top weekend.

2 lads from Sunderland living our dreams. A lad from Wycombe who drove himself here and has literally fallen in love. The Ballymena Bally who would tackle a truck. The spurs boy who has been at every england under age group. And Paddy, via Fulham, Man City, Celtic, Girona, Norwich, Middlesbrough, Derby and Troyes, only to find his home in Sunderland in League One.

Legends every one of them in my eyes. They have worked their arses off to get us back. All class lads as well it seems. Every single one of them seems to love this club, in their own way.

Some way there is no place for sentimentalism now we are in the prem. I say bolloxs to that. Give these lads their chance, they have earned it. If you put in the effort these lads have for us, they deserve their chance imo.

Just watched the official Sheff Utd highlights.

Amatuer in the extreme, so shoddy it's actually embarrassing.

And that's how they appear to be on and off the pitch ...

... cobbling together a match video or just buying various players and throwing them together.

On that point has anyone noticed what I thought I saw at the game.

O'Hare had come on and at the end of the game the ball goes back to Patterson. O'Hare is in our half and looks over to the bench to ask if he should press or 'are we playing for penalties?' Wilder, and bearing in mind I was on the last row of the top tier, stood with his hands in his pockets and shrugged. I was so nervous with the game it slipped my mind but I really believe that's what I saw.

    Anyone?

Wouldnt surprise me. I though Wilder lost his head a bit second half. Subs were all over the place, tactics non-existant. He looked shell shocked. I particularly liked him applauding Humes tackle or Diaz somersault, which ever it wad.

Also, Patto was claiming for the infringement immediately!!

Deffo the right call. Dunno why the linesman didn’t flag, as it would still have gone to VAR.
They had 2 players a couple of yards offside in front of Patto!!

Don't think Linesmen flag for anything these days when VAR is involved. Almost becoming a redundant job!

I thought that too. I think the pressure of really needing to go up told on him, which I'd always hoped for. Maybe that fed into the players too, as they looked completely gassed out once we equalised.

I noticed Wider applauding Hume's tackle. Genuinely wouldn't be surprised he forgot what side was wearing the red and white stripes.

Refreshing to hear a manager that clearly thinks very carefully about what he’s doing instead of answering questions with cliches.

It really did my head in ...

... fair enough I'd had a little pre-match tipple but it kept catching me out.

I really believe both teams should have to wear second of third strips.

What an Academy we have going on at our club.
Young Tommy costs us nowt, we sell him for £20m? then to put the icing on the cake with the last kick of his Sunderland career he goes and earns the club £220+m.

This is pure Roy of the Rovers stuff and is unbelievable Jeff.
