Not worried at all. He won’t go until the end of the season (if he does at all). Much as I like him, he’s not won anything yet - I can’t see Leicester signing him. It’s the press making things up.
I think we all knew it wouldn’t take long for him to be linked elsewhere after what he’s done for us this season.
Norwich and its more than fleetwood mac now. or is it? nothing from NCFC expressing an interest but nothing from BCFC expressing an approach for LM????
At the time of writing, Bristol Live understands City are still yet to receive an official approach from Norwich for the 39-year-old's services and while the Robins have been keen to keep Manning at Ashton Gate, they are expecting to be contacted by their Championship rivals within the next 24 hours. When he arrived in the West Country from Oxford United, Manning put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal with City, which still has two years left to run. Bristol Live understands that the deal does contain a release clause, with The Telegraph reporting Norwich would have to pay the Robins compensation in the region of £800,000. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...ol-city-braced-approach-championship-10213243
Expected news I'm afraid as his deeds at Ashton Gate have not gone unnoticed and Liam has strong ties with the area. He has built a squad that went to the play-offs and I wonder if there is a deeper rooted cause for his imminent departure, such as lack of funding and poor transfer decisions last summer which could have scuppered his plans for an even better finish. We will never know what has triggered this sudden potential news but I wish him all the success he deserves, My biggest problem with this news is who will we get next as our history in the hiring department needs a lot of work
if hes going, i hope its done quickly and not the week before the season starts, not the end of the world theres some good managers out there looking for work,
More a case of if HE will consider us. Not a best of times here. Dont think like Dyche that they have a glowing time with us or spoken of happy memories here. Me I would like Marion Muslic, Reuben Selles, John Mochino or possibly Rob Edwards. Knowing our lot they would probably get us Omer Riza
U think they will go foreign if its on? not for them footballing reasons but theyve gone for Deek from McScotland not proper foreign, O'driscoll from the mildlands a local yokel from Cheltnumb who got promotions then a very very very very short manager who spoke in rhymes who didn’t then a manager who was taller because every body was who didn’t speak in rhymes then old skool who said things like they were then one of these young progressive coaches no promotions but progressive and modern but theres been no foreigners, Tried everything else but think if its on they’ll go foreign!!
Trust the process. Bristol City will go through a thorough and rigorous process, and all options will be explored and considered before appointing a new head coach. This thorough and rigorous process has occurred before and Dean Holden was the outstanding option, and the only choice that met all the criteria. Trust the process.
what do think his contract is worth per week ? £8 -£10k? Well after previous managerial changes there was nearly always a statement saying " we were flooded by applications" on the other hand the season has just finished, and contract renewals are in progress, it would seem logical that they [ city board ] might decide that now is a good time to revise / offer LM a new contract or maybe it was written in, wage wise ........ achieve " thus and you get a raise! " Everything so far that has happened regarding playing staff seems to be LM orientated....... so positivity there!
If Liam Manning joins Norwich City, not only should we expect BCFC to receive a generous fee as compensation Norwich will have to also sign Armstrong/Mayulu as part of the compensation. Fairs fair .. Trust the process.
