I’ve watched it back and from the side view not only is Patterson’s sight lines affected but there are two of them offside.

 

I sent the video to Smug and he uploaded it onto YouTube.

 

I have no idea what you are referring to or your opinion on it .. and wasnt aiming at anybody specifically .

I hope we get at least a season in the PL with him he's young enough to wait ,but as we all know ,money talks and there's always lots of unseen issues behind a move . He definitely doesn't get the credit he deserves due to his name ,but that's a reflection on a lot of fans who just can't see through their own bias and bitterness that if its not their team they must be ****e.

Patts couldn’t dive where the ball was going, has to be interfering.

I did like the ref being miked up for the decision.

 

As soon as Watson got it, including the shot, seemed to go in slow motion to me.

 

Ref got most decisions correct on the day too, other than the Roberts foul which was baffling.

... yes it was a fabulous finish but I suspect Patterson would've been back to being called Fatterson if he was the keeper.

 

I see i’m not the only one who’s looked at the comments on the Coventry boards then!. They can’t understand that there is more than one way to win a game, they might have had more possession, but over 2 games they had 5 shots on target we had 6. It’s not how much you have it’s what you do with it. And they still wouldn’t have beaten Sheffield.

 

I dont think many keepers save that tbh. He uses their defender as cover so the keeper doesnt see it till late, then it is literally just inside the post. It is really the perfect finish. I used to say to lads pass the ball into the corner whem taking a shot. It is the inch perfect pass as well. Just a goal to win any game really. If Messi does that folk go on and on about it. I intend to now

 

Mind, we played Sheffield United 3 times this season and they were dog **** each time.

Wilder is a shocking gaffer given the squad he has.

 

I agree. There’s an angle from behind goal to left and it shows you the full arc, it’s a stunning finish.

 

I appreciate all that and I'm taking nothing away from the finish ...

... but you know yourself, there it was a long way out and it was clear what Watson was about to do..

But worse was the keepers starting position, too far back and flat footed.

 

That angle from behind I've watched loads of times and everyime I watch it there's a point where I still can't believe it ended up going in
