Ahhhhh. The days of 'come and have a go with the City Aggro' and getting home for a Ham and Mushroom toast topper
It was compared to what my Mum&Dad were eating...He always went to the butchers on a Saturday and came home with pigeons,a pheasant or a rabbit.(That's if he was unlucky and never got a Road kill on his way home from working at Staxton Wold) Just ****ing NO!!!
We always sang ‘come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough’ and my favourite toast topper flavour was cheese and mushroom. It’s amazing how different folk can be… Edit: Apparently the toast topper flavours were Ham and cheese, mushroom and bacon, and chicken and mushroom: neither of our favourite flavours ever actually existed. No matter. Toast toppers were ****ing amazing. Food of the gods.
Pigeon, rabbit, pheasant, yes please with gravy and root veg. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I definitely recall 'Wise Men Say' at Boothferry Park. I'd guess it was around 2001 when we were having money troubles and the players weren't getting paid, so we sent the poor ballboys round as target practice for change to pay the players.
According to Cloud 7 he scored two in the 75/76 season, so no, i don't think so 507 Ken Wagstaff – On Cloud Seven
It’s a shame Welcome Home didn’t catch on, maybe some of north stand faithful can get it going again.
I watched for the first time over the weekend the full Sheff W playoff final since watching it a Wembley, and had forgotten how dominant we were. The chances we had compared to Wednesdays were vastly outnumbered. We should have won it more comfortably.
The reworking of Seasons in the Sun by Terry Jacks was my favorite of that era's songs. And for everyone else it had to be ham and cheese for toast topper, i tried getting some a few years ago only to find it had being discontinued to my disbelief.
