We haven’t looked remotely capable of scoring. All the attackers have been diabolically poor. Harvey Barnes tacking himself and putting it out for a goal kick at the end of the half summed it all up. I’d drive Barnes to Villa myself, hopeless player.
The villa sending off is good news, but I wouldn't be surprised if Everton beat us after watching that first half. We'll see, but I think Moyes had them set up nicely to defeat Howe today.
However struggled against lower teams as he’s too scared to play the right formation and he can’t get the penetration right. We are playing “safe” most of the time with extra unnecessary passes. Cant blame Howe though for how bad Barnes has been.
I don't think we look like we know what we're doing and that's partly down to Moyes who's an expert and making games this crap.
So I guess what.....bring Trippier on for Barnes, go to 4-3-3 and push Murphy into the front 3? That would be better.
They are hitting us on the counter well too. I can’t see any benefit having Barnes on the right. He’s just getting in the way. I think we should go back to 4-3-3 it feels more balanced.
We have to play with more urgency. I just hope Howe doesn’t try to game manage this for a draw. Because it will back fire.
We weren't good that half but overall we started in 4th and at halftime were still in 4th. If we end up drawing its only an issue if 10 man Villa beat Man Utd AND there's a winner in Forest-Chelsea. Odds are still heavily stacked in our favour, more than at kick off.
No way is he going for a draw, that makes no sense. Some change, personnel or formation, is imminent.
