We are in a great position with PSR. We’ve got to the premier league without spending big money, we don’t pay big wages and we’ve got a squad full of players worth tens of millions that we signed for pennies.

All you teams struggling with PSR because you’ve been overspending, don’t tar us all with the same brush. Ta.

Firstly, I'd love you to stay up - but the reality is that you will need to strengthen considerably - that will inevitably involve looking overseas and, with all due respect, not many will want to join a club that is not that well known on the European stage simply because you are now in the Prem (unless they see it as a short term stepping stone - beware the release clause), unless you are offering very good financial rewards - as soon as you do that, your current players will also be looking for 'matching' pay rises ... and the better ones won't be short of offers from clubs that will pay 'Premier league salaries' - it's a vicious circle...

... but also a worry for another day.

It’s not a worry, at all.

We don’t need to spend big money to sign top players. We have already shown that and I don’t expect that to change. I reckon our scouting team will be able to pick up cheap players that will make a big impact.

We have a good reputation right across Europe for developing young players now, this is one of the places they want to be.

I hope we stick to the model that has got us here. Youngest ever team to play in a final at Wembley and the boys nailed it.

We are clearly on a similar path to Brighton, if we can somehow manage to stay up next season. I think we’ll kick on and flourish for a long time.

We certainly won’t be spending big money on players like ****ing Winks and Skipp <laugh>

Give me a baby Bellingham for a million quid any day of the week. This is the difference I’m talking about.

Brighton's wage bill this season is very similar to ours!!!! <laugh> ... their recruitment is excellent but it certainly ain't on the cheap...

We will be shedding at least 4 of our top 5 earners this summer - and Vardy was on almost double the second highest (although even he is on nothing compared to players at the Big 6) ...

The one manager actually achieving most in terms of financial outlay vs 'success' is Thomas Franck at Brentford...

Yeah and they’re a consolidated top half premier league club. You’re a newly promoted club that’s gone straight down.

Your wage bill should be nowhere near Brighton’s. That’s the problem <laugh>

Winks cost us £10 million and was a key factor in our last promotion - so in that sense worth it ...

None of the fans understood the Skipp purchase - it smacked of desperation and also an 'imperfect' replacement for Dewsbury-Hall - Cooper's transfer strategy left a lot to be desired - with the exception of El Khanouss who is a top talent and no mistake ... perhaps Cooper's strangest and worst was Edouard on loan from Palace - hardly played or even made the bench and is the second highest paid player at the club behind Vardy <doh>

Partly residual in our case - we still have players that won the FA Cup - Brighton haven't won anything yet ... when you do, players rightly get rewarded... not that you'll need to worry about that <laugh>

I love that lad, just a shame he is wasted at United right now, but I suppose even the **** times help your personal development.

Am I imagining it but in the past if you had a chance to win the league the trophy would be at the stadium and presented there and then and then you'd also have another presentation at your last home game?

It seems a lesser event by far today than when we're actually won it.

You've made me think now - we certainly had a guard of honour away at Chelsea in our penultimate game (I was there!) - and I think the trophy was there on a plinth as we walked out - but all the celebrations and official pics etc were at the final game at home to Everton ...

O’Shea knows the craic. Not sure if it’s 9 or 10 unbeaten in the premier league against the big mouths.

I’ve earned the right to have a silly bet with my winnings so I’ve added this. Arsenal have nothing to play for and may play a really weak team and the fat scruffs just love ****ing things up that should be straight forward.

You'll get beat more than likely in both next season. Was easy in the cup and we'll be even stronger.

I forgot Charlton's play-off final kicks off todays events at 1pm.

Will have that on then watch Forest v Chelsea afterwards, hoping Forest can pull off a result today.

I won't be disappointed if it's Chelsea, but just feel Nuno has had a good season at Forest and probably deserves something, whereas I felt Chelsea were disappointing, I expected more...or did I really after they sacked Poche...twats.

I think they'll struggle to stay up but I don't think they'll have a bottom of the table with no wins type of season neither.

Of course, the last 5/6 games we played Sunderland in the prem we were a zombie football club, a glorified advertising board. The quality of the football on display from both sides was some of the worst in the premier league as we both finished in crap positions hanging on for life.

I am hoping for a massive improvement in the future with derbies we can actually be excited for

No major preference today though Nathan Jones is a cock and I’ve not been to Orient for a long time so hope they can nick it as the underdog.
