I had a brief conversation with a lad in the bar yesterday before the match started. We both agreed that Wilder was a one trick pony and that Régis was more than capable of switching tactics.

Correct. It’s getting a bit pointless being here now. Reiver and his followers want total control on the board

Hes a great sub , thats his best position , hes not good enough to start imo. Thats not giving him stick , its how I see it, others see it differently , its a forum not a vendetta..

As long as folk don't overstep the mark then nothing wrong with differing opinions

We were really poor for 35 or so minutes yesterday, we lacked tempo and creativity for about 70 minutes so nothing wrong with folk saying that

Everyone on here wants the same thing and that's a successful Sunderland

That’s exactly it. We struggled for large parts of the Coventry home game too. Does it matter? No, we went through. Nothing wrong with saying what you see. I thought early doors we were slow, boring and predictable. I’m not sure many could disagree, or maybe so because it’s me saying it. Never mind

Absolutely not. Great debate and that's the point of the forum. Thought we played **** for 45 mins. The VAR turned it round, and we were very good as the game closed out. Probably the better the team. I had 2-1 all week. Had a great day. Just setting up to go back north now.

Incredible goalkeeping. He’s been superb recently, fair play

I think the VAR woke them up. But also I don’t know if SUFC did all that much either. They got the goal with the moment of magic and were content to lump it to Moore or hope for more from Hamer. We had lots of the ball even from midway through the first half but didn’t look like doing much. Couldn’t get things to connect, albeit weirdly I felt like we were showing more potential to do so. They backed their defence - and tbf it looked like it may well work. But we had quality when it mattered and just needed to connect once. And so it proved. From the Mayenda goal there was only one winner. Even if it had gone to extra time we were winning it. Tbh given the amount of ‘proven’ high end champ players Wilder had I was kinda surprised at their lack of ambition. Certainly the commentators talking about how it was astonishing that they’d thrown it away weren’t watching what I was.

its not, he got it right.

roberts had been poor and rigg had looked bright against cov, rigg did nothing wrong yesterday.

roberts however had that energy to bring on late in the game, he'd never have started roberts and mundle because we only had watsons pace to bring on really

dont know why people seek to be negative when the coach sought a balance and managed it perfectly

That bit of commentary is absolutely spot on. That we as a club found ourselves in the third tier was an embarrassment. As he said “One of Englands great football clubs is truly reborn”.

Rigg is never a winger and we were poor whilst he was on the pitch. You’re right about the pace options off the bench, absolutely

It all worked out in the end.

Yeah, I thought they would have offered more second half. They were class for 30 mins to be fair. Had a good bit crack with a Sheffield fan on the overground to marlybone. They were not happy. But that's credit to us.
