Too bad, Sheff Utd will be more of a challenge for us next season in the Championship than likely Sunderland would have been.
Sunderland have stolen the play-offs. Battered twice by Coventry, they've now mugged Sheffield in the final after finishing the season fourteen points behind them. Undeserved.
They might surprise us, but likely will be hammered next season, very mediocre team. I’d like these games to revert to the winner plays third bottom in the PL to see who has the place.
Same in the cup final up here....Aberdeen battered by Celtic, who had over 80% possession, to scrape a 1-1 draw and then steal it on penalties
Because as much as I understand why Robinson chose to leave the club for a better offer after spending most of his time with the physio for four years here, he’s always a cock when he comes back. Wilder, do you really need to ask?
Sheffield Utd the new Massive, so funny.... At least Derby's low points total has another contender next season, can't really believe Sunderland won today, they were woeful against us 3 weeks ago....
I am sure its not true but in my head the team we play last game of the season always get promoted. Seem to remember us playing Baggies & Leeds at home before they went up. Mentioned it to Mackam mate when fixtures announced, should have put a bet on.
He was an extremely good manager coming up the leagues I’d argue. Only really failed at Boro as I think we can write Watford off as everyone fails there. Just comes across as such a bitter little bellend with the world against him while managing a club with a huge budget and the sort of depth in the squad we plebs can only dream of. Loves to give it but can’t take it. That weird rant about a linesman eating a sandwich in his presence. Sunderland were there for the taking first half. Second half he brings on big name players on big name money and they got worse as the game went on. Three shots all second half, zero corners. Not saying they deserved to lose the game as they obviously didn’t but didn’t really do enough to win it. Much like both their performances against us. It’s like they’ve spent all season trying to win games playing as badly as possible.
The Wilder whinge. What exactly is his problem? Most comments I've seen from United supporters correctly said his tactics were awful ie winning team should not sit back to protect a lead until they are 3 up. He was to blame as much as Sunderland deserved it for turning it around As for VAR correct me if I'm wrong but the player was both offside and interfering so correct decision and the fact that it was only used in the play off final ie the gateway to the league that does use it does not make the decision wrong
