Doesn't look to be an easy league we will need to play well, keep our better players and add a bit of quality. Could be another long season whoever is in the managers seat

Following Oldham's 4-0 over Halifax and Southend's 4-3 win over Rochdale, the next stage of the National League play offs are confirmed.

    York vs Oldham
    FGR vs Southend

1 of these 4 will join us next season.

Chesterfield and Notts County remain in L2 following their defeats in the play offs.

York won't be joining us. They lost 3-0 at home to Oldham.

York finished 2nd in the table (just 6 points behind the champions Barnet) 23 points ahead of Oldham. Ouch. Smashing Halifax 4-0 then York 3-0, they will take some beating in the final. Think they are favourites now.

I’m going to see FGR v Southend tonight. I don’t have a good feeling about it, I think it could be an Oldham v Southend final with Oldham going up.

    You were right!

That's a gutter for York mind. Finished 28 points above Southend and 23 above Oldham. So harsh.

Play off final is 7th placed Southend vs 5th placed Oldham.

It was a pretty good game. FGR should've hung on to their extra time lead though.

I sincerely hope that Oldham smash Southend in the final. After they won the penalty shootout their thuggish fans invaded the pitch and tried to attack the 13 and 14 year old kids I took to the match. They were a shameful embarrassment to football. Absolutely disgusting and I'm still fuming now.

Why did they do that? Is there history between the 2 sides?

If I remember rightly one of our ex coaches is the manager of Southend Keith Maher, so maybe there is a bit of history there

No history whatsoever which is what made it so surprising. Just wanton thuggery instead of celebrating their win. I have on old friend who is a lifelong Shrimper and even he was disappointed in their fans.

Wimbledon beat Walsall today meaning we have the short trip up the M5 to Walsall next season to look forward to.

Just the National League play off winners (out of Oldham and Southend) to complete the 24 sides in next season's L2.

Your team has been moved to L2, I will sort the correct order after all the site moves, so for now will occupy the wrong alphabetical order.
