He's also just jumped to 1/3 odds on clear favourite in the last hour. Evatt has dropped to 6/1 in the same time.
You couldn't make this up. In the last few minutes Barry-Murphy has eased back to 4/6 and Aaron Ramsey has jumped to second favourite ahead of Evatt and Buckingham!
So, the short list of 3 is actually 4. Wish they'd stop 8ugger!ng about. Pick someone qualified, not a rookie. Interesting that Barry-Murphy is a 'coach' not a 'manager'.
All looks like nobody has a Scooby Doo, especially the bookies. No surprise there then. Perhaps they will appoint Evatt, Buckingham, Ramsey and Barry-Murphy and have a management committee......
https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/b...es-as-leading-cardiff-city-manager-candidate/ Evatt allegedly out of the reckoning with Buckingham and Ramsey still very much in the frame.
Don't know if he's been interveiwed or even considered, but Tan could be waiting to see if Charlton get promoted tomorrow.
The worry as often stated here is the final decision rests with a man who criticised our goalie for not scoring goals.
Do you think he was ever in the reckoning? If, as suggested, the interviews have all been completed, do you think Jones would be on the shortlist as he’s been preparing Charlton for the play off final? Personally I’d love to see him here but I think he’s planning for life in the championship as we speak.
Presumably Charlton would have had to have given permission for him to speak to us? I can't see them agreeing to that
Whoever the manager is, we still need some footballing nouse on the board. If not, we'll be looking for another manager by Christmas.
A footballing manager who knows what he's doing and is given some latitude to make footballing decisions if not financial ones will do for me.
