Check out some of the players who played for Man City's u21s from when they won the u21 Prem cup final in 2022; Rico Lewis Shea Charles Romeo Lavia Cole Palmer Liam Delap James McAtee Sam Edozie And they also had Oscar Bobb, Nico O'Reilly, Egan-Reilly, Morgan Rogers, and Harwood-Bellis in their squad that year too.
Think it will become much more common now you see all the players leaving at 16 and the easing of the 90 minute rule
Was supposed to be on Sky but apparently City's refusal to play the game at the Etihad, meant it couldn't happen. Semi finals and Final are supposed to be played at club's main stadium. So City ignoring the rules again.
Robinson misses out because he will be involved in what will essentially be a friendly on Sunday. It seems pretty obvious to me that he would gain more from playing tonight than for the poor excuse for the first team. We have so clearly given up that I just don't see how it would help a young player to play in that environment.
Perhaps, but it would be odd to let players pick and choose what games they want to play and I'd be surprised for anyone to turn down a final you'd worked all season to reach. Just seems a weird one to me.
Maybe he's been told he'll start or at least get 45. Tbh I think most youngsters would rather play a Prem game vs Arsenal, televised around the world, than the development league final.
Ha, City’s team will be exceptional for this level I’d imagine, be a really tough ask for our guys. Hopefully show TC23 in the crowd as well as next manager to cap a good night
Emile Heskeys son is playing for them, as well as Max Alleyne who left Saints to join them a few years ago now.
