Nah, Dibling doesn't deserve any hate imo. If we'd had a less awful season, and not relied on him so much, we'd be celebrating him. He's still a kid.
No hate from me. I'm putting him more in to the "meh" bracket. Talented but clearly doesn't want to be here
Received a second email telling me not to invade the pitch on Sunday I hope they’re as forthcoming with grovelling emails of apology for an all timer of a shamefully **** embarrassment of a season.
Really is a joke tbh. I understood the first one to a degree cos of last season but they really didn't need to reinforce it.
Perhaps this is reverse psychology - They want fans to invade the pitch, so the best way of ensuring this is to keep telling us that we mustn't do it
That works. I remember being at Wembley a few years ago and the cards had been put on the seats to make a George cross when the players came out. The tannoy announcer came on and asked people not to make paper aeroplanes out of them and throw them on the pitch. You know what happened next…
Dear fed up Saints fans We acknowledge the fact that this season has been one of the worst seasons in our history and we’ve been absolute **** in every department but hey, look on the bright side - it can only go one way from here (hopefully). We hope you enjoy the game on Sunday and we would like to take this opportunity to ask you; please do not leave early in order to enable the players to come out and do a (very fast - well, faster than they’ve all been running during the matches this season) lap of appreciation. We know we have not deserved the support you have shown but if you leave early the players might cry and morale will drop again. Oh, and please don’t go on the pitch if you do stay. Thanks so much!
We should definitely sing about going on the pitch a lot in the second half. Just to make the fake stewards actually do some work more than anything.
We could sing that if *insert player name here* scores a goal we're on the pitch. But that wouldn't cause any concern because we rarely even try and score goals.
I like the stewards at St M, chilled and friendly That’s in the chapel, it may be a different experience elsewhere At least they’re not trying to get the Northam to sit down anymore, but I’m not sure they did that much, pre-Wall anyway
Yeah wasn't meant as a dig at our stewards, though one of our ones at Arsenal away this season was awfully negligent. I meant the outside ones which I can't remember the title for. I've not had any issues myself tbf but I know others have.
I like the idea. Each player starts off individually & when the clapping stops, they have to walk off. As @Lovelocum said, those 3 would make it all the way around. The others …..
I might be missing something here, but I always thought the lap of appreciation by the players was more directed at them to us, ie the players appreciating the fans. In which case one lap would not be enough...
