Rumours floating around up here that Russel Martin has dropped out of the running for the Rangers gig as he's going to Leicester(it was allegedly between him and Gerrard). Talk of Gerrard coming back with Jordan Henderson and ex Rangers player Steven Davis as assistants.
Fascinating game, really enjoyed it. Sure it probably wasn’t a classic for the casual football fan but it was a really interesting tactical battle and a great showcase of the more intricate modern game. I think both teams will be pushing for top 4 next season.
well.....with no champ league teams dropping in and the champ league expanding the standard of the Europa league has absolutely dropped off a cliff, an English team should be winning this most years now
That's got man utd tax on it tho.....one of their biggest issues is that because of their reputation and historic wealth they end up over paying on wages and transfers with nearly every player they buy.....say Newcastle had gone for hojlund, they'd prob have only paid 40m and 80k a week wages. And they'd be sat there now asking what the **** they spent that money on, cos back to your original point, he is absolutely rubbish edit.....the knock on effect is that when they want to try shift their dross there are only a handful of teams that can compete on wages....the European ones are too good to want their **** so that leaves Saudi as the only viable option....fair enough with someone like casemiro who's old.....but younger clowns like onana, ount, hojlund....they won't be wanting to go there. lol. it's mega lol.
I think ‘proven striker’ is a bad cliché on this forum and football in general. Lots of strikers have flopped after having one or two really good seasons in the Premier League at one club before joining one of the bigger teams. Lukaku was great at West Brom and Everton, for example. Averaged a goal almost every other game. At Man Utd he was widely criticised as being a flop because of his price tag. Did well at Inter then went to Chelsea and it was the same story as his move to Man Utd. And then there are players who have never played in England before and just hit the ground running. As far as the Championship goes, Isidor has done pretty well for Sunderland this season and he wasn’t ‘proven’.
I think I read somewhere that Jim Ratcliffe had lost half of his investment value in Manure, even before last night...
Get the connection...All won summat... Then there's Norwich..Budgies.. Cardiff.....Bluebirds. Massive FC...Tea towels. Swindon....Robins. Won jack ****..
His own personal wealth has dropped massively, by about 4 billion or so.....still worth about 8bn so he's not heading to Aldi for his weekly shop any time soon, the **** him.
I've just seen a post on Reddit. "I've never been so embarrassed as a Man Utd fan" Yeah, it's really ****ing humbling to lose a European final and be a win away from finishing 14th in the PL. You're not entitled to ****, **** off.
