Last night was special. In at 1, up at 5:30, this morning not so special. Day off though so looking forward to post school-run nap and watching as many videos from last night as the socials will show me!

And it’s bin day today but apparently putting it out at 1 am, waking the missus up doesn’t go down well!

Though there were a couple of shaky moments from Udogie and Vicario in this game, not their strongest effort, and while it was a crap game, Spurs back five maybe back seven bossed it at the business end of the tournament. I certainly had the feeling that Romero had it under control. Three time international title winner, now captain. Pappe came through today for me, MOTM. Created the winning pinball and shined in midfield. "Was not expecting Papp' Sarr there!...Great ball in from Sarr!"

"Brennan Johnson, was it your goal?
    "I don't know, and I don't care one bit."

"Do you feel like you changed history."
"Yeah! It's such a good club. We just needed to win one trophy!"
I feel for you Luke as someone who until now has always had their team lose the biggest game.

    Brilliant

My son and I were the same. When that final whistle went we hugged and danced around the restaurant going bonkers.

A very special night for me with some of the people I love the most.

    Bloody football... :emoticon-0152-heart :emoticon-0152-heart

Days like these is when it’s no fun working by myself!

I don’t think the significance of last night has sunk in yet!

Have seen comments on how awful spurs were last night but do we care?

    No!

Probably too soon for deep analysis of last night's game, but a few players really stepped up last night.
I thought Bissouma had one of his best ever games for us and with Bentancur created the core that has been so often missing this season.
The back 4 were excellent with Romero outstanding and Micky, well, what can you say....:emoticon-0152-heart

The rest worked their socks off and played their part. Johnson won it for us and arguably Vicario saved it for us at the death. (Although what the actual **** he was doing at other points during the game is a subject for another day!<yikes>)

Keeping the entire squad together for the trip was a great decision and who made that call deserves a lot of credit.
We looked far more a family in Bilbao than United and I think that made a huge difference. <applause>

Good morning to anyone whose club have won a EUROPEAN TROPHY this season!!!

Ahhh man what a night. Sorry I couldn’t get on here, safe to say it was a mad one!

Atmosphere at the stadium was blinding, I wish I was in Bilbao and I’m envious of my cousin and mates who were but this was probably the second best place to be. Still got some great pics and vids that I might post in a day or so, I’ll also get some pics and vids from them in Bilbao and post them up too.

Got myself some WHL turf, the stadium announcer saying “please leave the pitch, we have a game on Sunday” 50 times really didn’t read the room and realise none of us give us a toss about that game nor the state of the pitch for it <laugh>. Even ended up bumping into some mates in the middle of the pitch, couldn’t believe the chances of that happening.

Absolutely buzzing though and especially for Sonny, we can now finally say his amazing contributions to this football club have (FINALLY) been rewarded. Too many great players have been and gone without proper reward so it’s brilliant knowing one of them finally got something in return. I love the fact he called himself a legend now because of it, he already was anyway but now it’s absolutely cemented in history.

As for the game itself I was actually quite surprised at how defensive we were, I thought we’d have taken the game to them like in previous matches this season but barring van de Ven’s superman heroics I don’t think we were ever in too much danger. Romero absolutely superb and a worthy MOTM - he’s never lost a final and it shows, I also thought Sarr was great and ran himself into the ground, all three mids in fact really grafted and Richarlison put in a real shift too.

What a night, man. What a night.

    Up the ****ing Spurs!

No problem with this, when you've won. That's the time for crowing!

It's also the time to redouble our efforts and make sure that we don't get anywhere near the dreadful...

    2 x 17 = We're utterly ****!

There's no good reason that a club of our size and wealth should be doing that ever again!
