Postecoglou has been stubborn as a mule for two straight years about playing a high line and attacking wingbacks in a back four, playing out from the back and just suicidal football at times but tonight’s the night he decided to go against his principles and go full Pulis after scoring first.

Has he? I haven’t watched them recently. I just remember lots of complaining by Spurs fans this season when they had a massive injury crisis and Romero and van de Ven were injured and they were playing a makeshift back four with Archie Gray at centre-half because Postecoglou just kept playing a high line and wouldn’t back down from his style of play/principles. I also remember last season when Spurs went down to 9 men against Chelsea and had their centre-halves as high as the halfway line for most of the game.

 

That's probably one of the 5 mins I slept.
