I am a great proponent of making everything home made. And sweet potato chips are one of the easiest things to DIT because they cook so quick without parboiling. BUT Aldi’s frozen sweet potato fries. I challenge anyone to achieve better without deep fat frying them. Still pretty cheap too. Top tip this one, thank me later.
I feel like sweet potato fries trick me cos they’re not proper chips are they It just disappoints me when I eat one
Best Sunday meal for us is mash, sausages , veg … and wait for it ‘tomato gravy’ made during a couple of wars as it was cheap . Make your beef gravy first , heat up tinned toms and add the gravy , heat a bit more . I am sure there will be detractors but honestly it tastes fantastic and goes with sausages and mash the best . Had it since a kid , wife was skeptical but now loves it more than me !
Depends what you have them with, fine if you got a load of sauce to soak up. If you’re just having them as a side like with a burger they’re not the same but good ones are still really nice in their own right.
On a Sunday we would often have bacon , egg and, wait for it, tomato which was cooked and broken down with the addition of cold tea to make it runny. Soaked up with mam's freshly baked bread rolls. Glorious, potentially a condemned man's last meal option.
That’s food all prepped…chicken marinating in a lemon, ginger & garlic sauce Will be a stir fry later on. Time for a few beers & watch the footy for a few hours
What is that, battered corned beef with an egg in it? Got myself a scotch egg from the farm shop for lunch today, really soft almost runny yolk, exquisite.
When you see this 30 oz monster sitting on the farm shops counter is it possible to walk out without it?
