Mau Utd are rightly favourites but to be honest I look at the Spurs back line and with everyone fit it's decent, certainly when you see the Man Utd attack they have to deal with. Man Utd have the midfield battle won I suspect but I think they'll struggle to penetrate. I'm going 3-1 Tottenham. I don't mind either way, just glad an English team is going to win it, be glad for either set of fans but as a neutral I feel for Ange more!
Spurs’ side looks athletic but I’m not seeing any creativity. Hopefully Son will come on and roll back the years. It has the feel of two old boxers offered a pay day they shouldn’t really be taking but have. Then they turn up and their gloves are rotisserie chickens and the ring is a bouncy castle. Anything could happen. Chances are not much will.
Anyone else triggered by the fact they're kicking towards their own fans in first half? It's a cup final FFS.
You say that but I can hear "when the saints go marching in" being sung at the moment so assume Southampton must be playing in the final
That'll be @remembercolinlee the song stealing tosser. Anyway we've already won a trophy this season.
Went into the one bar in the village I’m staying in and the only bloke in there watching at kick-off is a local but looks and dresses like a Bulgarian football hooligan and is supporting United. A few others have shown up since including someone who shook my hand for being there but think he might be the local mong. Has that weathered Spanish/Portuguese look where he’s had so much sun he looks grimy. The barman/owner may well have lived through the Spanish flu. They made me a nice francesinha though. The sort of scran that would be popular on the food thread. Steak sandwich with some sausage and salami thrown in smothered in cheese and some sort of gravy. Anyway, decent game.
If I was, say, West Ham I’d be all over it. Not first choice obviously but 20 mins when needed and the cup games if he’s down for that sort of role. Better than Halfkrug being available once every three months.
