Not so sure on the new "thrash" metal bands or whatever the genre is called nowadays, it's not awful it's just not as good as the older bands doing this kind of thing.

Saw them as a support band back in the day, twice. Liked D'Anno as the lead singer, never thought Dickenson had as a good voice. Also saw him in Samson before he joined Maiden, there was about 50 folk there. That was in the roughest venue I'd ever been too, went there several times and there was always aggro.

I honestly think Di'Anno's voice suited Maiden better as well, aggressive but could be super melodic as well, whereas Dickinson was just always operatic and soaring. Same Di'Anno was such a loose cannon then and they had no chance of making it with him.

Love Maiden but hate that song! Hallowed Be Thy Name and Aces High all the way.

Must have seen them 5 times in the early days, always a good show, then saw them about 6/7 years ago and they did nothing for me. Tbh only went as some mates were over from Germany and they're big fans, so organised a night for them

Lol, Fosse I know he did - think I've probably posted enough of his stuff on here.

I did use to be able to play one of the Spaghetti Western trio tunes, can't remember which one, will have to practise later and see if I remember it from finger memory.

To aid my memory, because it forgets tunes over time, I did get myself an A4 pad and started writing some tunes down, more as a trigger rather than having to research them again. I don't think that tune is in my pad though, so will have to get it written down....when I've worked out which one it is!

Was refreshing my finger memory on the Gerry Rafferty song yesterday.
