Thanks guys booked a beamback ticket for the Montgomery suite for 12 :30 and wondering if there will be a queue to get in and need to be be there earlier than 12 30 or does the price of drinks put off supporters?
I'll probably get back in at about 2.45 so will miss all the nervous build up. Watching it with my lad at home and all non believers can clear out of the living room.
Just book a place in the Montgomery suite, only to now find out that you can,t wear club colours due to dress code so assuming this will be the same for the play off final. Beginning to think this might be a mistake. Bloody he'll does sound like much of an atmosphere . Might even be empty.
I wonder if the dress code is relaxed a bit since it’s a beam back and not a regular game. I’ve dropped a line to Chris Waters to see if he can help.
It exists - but it's in the middle of nowhere, so you should get some good night skies for star gazing. You'll also be right next to the mach loop and could see lots of low flying military aircraft.
Looks like you can by nice white polo shirts in the club shop with the club badge on it, so I might pop over sometime today and see if they have my size. Although wearing this with black trousers does not seem appropriate haha. Fortunately I have others.
I’ve known for a while I couldn’t go. Got a week in Devon booked starting tomorrow with a uni mates 50th Saturday. Seriously considered buggering off to London Saturday but with many arriving around three Saturday it felt rude so I took it on myself to book us a room in a pub from 2 45 for snacks and entertainment. Guess what’s on?
SAFC fan TV have got loads of live streaming going on for Friday and Saturday https://www.youtube.com/@SAFCFanTV/streams
Just had a reply from Chris Waters (credit to the club, that lad): “There is no dress code for the beam backs, Sunderland shirts are recommended. Enjoy the final and thanks for your support”
Nice one mate I ow you a pint. I just bought a really nice tip for the occasion so now have a choice but think it will be a better atmosphere if we can wear our colours. Thanks for your help all the same. Hope there will be a good few in there.
if we were watching the lads on the moon i don't care they have done us proud days like this make me happy we can do this !
Not based in a bar, get off the boat in limone then turn left down the small street. Their shop is on the left, you'll see it as it has sunderland shirts hanging up inside
the beacon of light sounds good £15 a ticket, they should use the stadium of light as well. We have a 65 inch sony 4k telly so will be happy with that
Got the wee one on Saturday as missus already had plans booked @Jarca coming around to watch the game and be on grandfather duties so I can focus on the game!!
Anyone know if their will be free parking at the Stadium of Light on Saurday and if so what areas.,particularly around the west side? If not anywhere will do.
I was more than up for traveling to London and taking my chances on the day; worst case a family pub nearby with the eldest little-un. Me Dad is having none of it...reckons if I had the tickets in my hand he still wouldn't be interested and certainly not on "a wing and a prayer"..."too much hassle" and "we've had our great Wembley day out beating Wycombe"! He's only in his 60s, so I reckon he's being a tad overly cautious, but I have him to thank for all of my previous SAFC related experiences, so he gets the nod. The little un is only 6 too, so on that basis, logic suggests his time will come again. Pretty sure there'll be a point when I know it's the right decision, even if it's not at 5 ish tomorrow! Anyway, we'll 100% make a full day of it... breakfast out, maybe a trip to Bury St Edmund's on the train in the morning for a few, then back home for the game. I honestly think we're gonna get it done. But...if we don't, I'll still be hugely excited about next season! KTF & HTFL!
