Can PNP incorporate a poll into the article so we can vote which of the 2024-25 'El craptico' to date the final will most resemble as a game ??
We should be favourites We are in the better form having picked up 1 point from our last 9 to their 0
There seems to be quite a lot of positivity around our fan base on social media about this final, something I am not used to, and personally I don't get it. On here we are not the most positive group of fans and whilst I know that some of it has always been a bit tongue in cheeks RCLs and all that, I still see this as a match that looks a step too far. Whilst it is clear that this is a game between 2 teams who have had terrible league seasons, it is a fact that United haven't lost a single game in Europe, and yes we have beaten them 3 times already this season, and Ange is unbeaten against them. those stats are the sort that are due to end. We have important players missing, for this particular match to have both Maddison and Kulu absent leaves us without any creative spark in midfield and that is huge for us and I am not sure how we get around it. In Bruno, Casemiro, Shaw and Maguire they have players who know how to win finals, we have Romero and that's it. I am expecting a close game I don't think there will be more than 1 goal between the sides, but we haven't scored in our last 4 finals so that needs to change for sure. I hope that we approach the game like we did the games in Frankfurt and Bodo and not like a premier league game, if we play like we do in the prem we will definitely lose. Obviously I am hoping for a win more than any game since the 2019 final, lets hope we are not behind in the first minute this time and that our players give everything for the shirt and the fans, we can win for sure but as usual I feel that I will be watching in hope not expectation. I hope that it's a big sofa CK! there maybe quite a queue
Looking forward to reports tomorrow that there has been an outbreak of food poisoning due to eating uncooked chicken.
To be honest I'm in quite a comfortable place with this match. My son has booked out the upstairs lounge at the Chinese restaurant were he works, large screen etc. and they're laying on some beers and food. Should be a laugh. The only anxious moment for me is that I have always said if Tottenham or England ever win a trophy I'd get a tattoo like he currently has. Always I thought that was a safe bet as it was never going to happen...
Dunno. You might look good with a large heart enclosing the words 'Hitler / Stalin / Mao / Pol Pot' + ' did nothing wrong' .
He’s in the more recent photos and videos, I’d post the twitter post here but I can never seem to do it since musk took over. But he’s in them, so is Madders, Dragusin, Werner and Scarlett for example though, and we know they’re all supposed to be injured too, so maybe they’re just along for the ride. Lots of rumours about Bergvall though, including that he’s trained with the team.
I think we’ve got every chance of winning this. United might be unbeaten but have had a lot of luck to get to this stage whereas we’ve barely had any all season. we’ve been a different team in Europe, particularly in the last couple of away games and I think except for Bruno’s creativity, we’re better than them in pretty much every department. They may have an edge due to their experience of winning things but I think Ange, no matter what we think of him has a good handle on the man management side of the game and has plenty of experience of winning things (doesn’t matter at what level) which none of the other managers we’ve had in recent cup finals has. Weirdly our last two trophy winning managers both had experience of winning things before coming to us as well.
Just watched the video of the squad getting off the bus to check in to the hotel. Bergvall was definitely there and definitely walking quite freely. He was the only player with his hoody up, which some might want to read into. Secret weapon?
Can we win? Yes. Will we win? No. United are dreadful, but sadly possess a few players who have the experience to make the difference in a big game. It's easier to imagine them turning up than our lot. But I live in hope ...and I've already moved the beer fridge to behind the sofa!
When you copy the link, it’ll say something like “x.com/blahblahblah” just type twitter in place of the x and it should then show the tweet like usual once you hit post.
