I doubt he sits at home frothing about Jews but he’s made these unfortunate mistakes more than enough times for it to be a pattern. He’s not thick and I don’t buy his excuse of ignorance. He just doesn’t care.
I remember after that horrendous attack by Hamas and the atrocities it committed that day, some on here still wouldn’t commit to calling them terrorists. I knew right then we were dealing with antisemites. With respect mate. Sucky has taken a load of ****e on here (correctly) about his Islamophobia. It’s always bothered me though that it’s the racist antisemites who make the biggest noise about him. I never understand that, do these think their racism isn’t as bad as Sucky’s? They’re that racist against the Jews it’s become normal to them. Madness.
Seen just about everybody call out Hamas on here. Can't say the same for people who can't bring themselves to call out Israel's atrocities though But yeah anti-semitism or something...
Cheers Saf. Just a reminder to the outside world looking in, no one on here wishes harm on anyone, neither can any of us solve the problems of the outside world, we just engage every argument ever brought forward or thought, demonstrating there are no winners in war only more human sacrifice. not606's version of spitting image.
Correct. There’s no equivalence and I couldn’t give a ****. We’ve got thick ****s like Diego going for Holocaust inversion 19 months into this. Imagine saying that about Chinese people because of what they went through in the past. It just wouldn’t happen to any other group of people.
Or any agenda for that matter. I think Roger Mosey sums it up best: Roger Mosey - former head of news and director of sport at the BBC - says "the biggest problem is that the BBC allowed Gary Lineker to have a social media profile". "And if you're the highest paid presenter in the BBC, I think it's difficult to be starting to opine on anything that comes into your head as a former footballer, when you also have this BBC hat you're wearing," he tells BBC 5 Live. "I think a lot of people this morning may be saying, well, actually, I agree with Gary about Palestine. "But if you happen not to agree with Gary about Palestine or the EU or about other issues, why are you as a licence fee payer funding someone to run their own social media profile with views that are hostile to you?" Mosey adds: "If you're working for the BBC... you have to take a wide range of views into consideration and be empathetic to a very diverse set of people. "And that, I think, has not been happening really in his social media posts."
Did you know it was an anti-semitic insult? ... just saying. I didn't - but he's done the correct thing in light of it.
I don't really care for labels or comparisons. People bring all sorts of baggage to these arguments. People were rightly aghast at what happened on 7th Oct, seeing innocent people being murdered in their own homes and there was justified outcry about Children, teenagers, women and innocent people being slaughtered. But, also seem to suffer from some kind of cognitive dissonance when children, teenagers, women and innocent people are being slaughtered today in Palestine. I honestly couldn't give a **** about whether people are Jewish, Muslim or whatever God they want to worship. Murder is wrong and the scale that it's being conducted on right now is an abomination.
