Simic has looked good for the 21s and did OK at our sister club. I think there's more to him than Velenjoka (or whatever he was called). Etete just never stays fit. There is still need for experience in the spine of the team and CB anchors the team. A leader needed in there though accept there is plenty of youth stepping up. At times last year we looked rudderless at the back, especially once Alnwick was out.
Much of this will come down to the manager and style of play. My preference would be for the two mentioned with creativity coming from the midfield 5. I think there would be goals for 4 of them feeding off the strikers.
I've said it before but what about our quick, tricky youngsters getting into the box with ball and attacking big, lumbering cb's - there will be a lot of those in Div. 1. If Birmingham can get 10 pens in a season why can't we?
When I started playing rugby there were no substitutes Then substitutes were allowed..... .......if a doctor confirmed a player was unfit to continue.
No news on our retained list or any indications as to any ins or outs from our mana......... Oh, wait. No news on a new manager.
Very, very interesting...................... https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/202425-retained-list
