After the sad passing of Reebs and Rainer over the past 12 months I thought I would create a sticky thread remembering those who graced these pages but are sadly no longer with us. I have linked the threads started by the sons of Ian and Mike below. A special word also for the much-missed Cyc, who suddenly stopped posting and for whom one naturally fears the worst. Rainer Signs Off Reebs a final word Remembering Charlie (Cyclonic)
I always liked those three revered members. I met Reebok at Nuneaton’s Dog show and we shared a pint together. Cyclonic loved his beach visits down under and told some great tales on the forum. Rainer and I were died in the wool football supporters for Crystal Palace and Burnley respectively- and shared many private emails. I liked him immensely. They will be remembered with deep affection.
I know that Mike (alias Rainer) will be watching today’s FA Cup Final from up above. I just hope that Crystal Palace will honour his memory by winning their first trophy. That will surely make him smile.
....... and well done Eze who scored his first senior goal whilst playing for Wycombe nearly 8 years ago. Great to see him score in an FA cup final at Wembley, especially against Man City, and put a smile on Mike's face
Great, great result. Wish Mike could have been still here to see his beloved Palace on this special day for them. However, am sure he's watching from the clouds above and celebrating with friends with a few sips of an appropriate wine!
