Yeah they need to do something more about the transport links. If the weather is nice it's only a 20 minute walk from the city centre but you don't really want 50k people heading out that way - and it's not one of the more scenic routes. You get to take in the sites of Costco and Home Bargains.
Can see us getting absolutely battered today. Need to try and avoid conceding early or if could be a long 90 minutes. If we can keep it tight then I can see them getting nervous in the second half and all their players trying to score 30 yard screamers.
Would be hilarious if you got a win or late equaliser. Stick around and get some pics of the scenes after.
Oh mate wouldn't it just. We won the last game at Maine Road and it'd be class to add Goodison to that. More likely we concede in the first ten and then ship 5/6 though. If we can get to HT at 0-0 I actually fancy our chances as they'll get desperate and every player will be having a go from 30 yards to try and get in the history books.
I wonder how much it means to these guys, especially the foreigners. Would’ve thought a lot of them are more focussed on getting to Dubai unscathed or getting a new contract somewhere. Maybe not. On the train up to the Bwood. No other fans spotted at Brighton surprisingly. Guess I’ll see some Maidstone when I get to London.
Yeah probably not a huge amount but think the fans will let them know pretty early on which is why I think we'll get battered if they score early. Is that the final you're going to? What league?
National South. Last time they were at this level and got to this final they barely sold 2000. Today it’s a 4500 sell-out and loads didn’t get. Hoping the local scum are there in number and tanked up despite the early KO. Maidstone sounds like the sort of place where various reprobates will make the trip from. Meeting brb at the Spoons round the corner at 11.
Enjoy, hopefully a good game. Pretty sunny day, expecting half the fans to be wasted before kick-off surely. Rolling in from the beer gardens, I've no doubt the atmosphere will be 10 times the volume of Arsenal later on.
It’s a shame it’s an early KO but it’s a town full of absolute Sports Direct filth so hopefully a good turnout on that front. Almost no one actually supports them. Done a couple of the away games near me this season and the following is tragic. Like 30 for a two hour journey.
Seems a shame that the Everton game is first up and at 12:00 midday... Would have been more fitting, in tems of the occasion, to have it as the last game of the day ... perhaps that's just me?
Nicer, there's probably the biggest gay community in the country there. And Sussex county cricket club.
I got the emotional reaction of fans at the last games Maine Road, Highbury, Upton Park, Ayesome Park and White hart lane cos the ground where so many memories happened and so much time was spent there were knocked down. I was lucky enough to get a ticket with my then teenage youngest. It was a great day but very emotional. I'd been going since 1981 and my girls had been going since 2004 and 2006 respectively. I got some in my eyes as we left the ground with everyone singing "can't smile without you" but not sure I'd have been so bothered if the old girl was kept for women's football cos I could go back when ever I wanted.
