Does the FA Cup final day still hold the same appeal when the game is not the last game of the season ? Palace still have Wolves and Liverpool to play Man City still have Bournemouth and Fulham to play I'll watch it but it doesn't hold the same feel as a finale game of the season
Doesn't make much of a difference for me tbh. I think it's impressive that the FA cup still holds its prestige, despite the fact that the English football pyramid has done everything in it's power to knock it off its perch. Same with the League Cup tbh
I think a draw would be best. Leaves them able to overtake Villa on goal difference on the final day, if they win against Chelsea and Villa lose, so they would still give it everything to get that win. With this scenario they wouldn't be likely to overtake us though, even if we were to lose our last two games, due to our much better goal difference.
Agree. TBH though, the FA Cup Final lost its appeal, except whenever we got there, years and years ago. Once they started messing around with the kick off time and combined with it not being the final game it started to lose its special place.
I don't think that it is the fact that its not on the last day of the season its the fact that there is so much more football on TV now. When I were a lad, that and the England games were all you could watch, so it made it a really special day. BBC coverage used to start at 9 or 10 in the morning with all sorts of stuff on the teams, how they got there, interviews with fans and even an FA Cup Final Its a Knockout. They need to bring that back - now the Stuart Hall is out of prison it should be possible.
The GK handball outside the box and Haaland was more or less in on goal. I don’t mind because I’d rather palace win. But it’s still making things up.
Right decision though. Palace had players back. Makes a bit of a mockery of VAR that it clearly shows foul play but can’t do anything about it. Give a free kick on edge to City.
