Great news , croft will not be commentating at the GP this weekend. He will miss three races this year the same three as last season. Croft confirmed in March that he will miss the same three races again in F1 2025, with Benjamin set for his first Sky F1 appearance of the season at Imola this weekend.
I know I sound like an old man and a broken record, but even Croftys replacement is a shouty parody of yesteryear. Someone just call James Allen and tell him we’re sorry, he was actually really good compared to what came later. At least he knew the sport inside out.
Some upgrades this weekend but apparently not the full ones- some teams holding back til Barcelona. Just doing some trawling to see what’s happening up and down the teams
Aston bringing some big changes this week. Interesting as some of these were final tested in the new wind tunnel so very important correlation test for them and Adrian Newey as they look ahead to next season
Wow, Q2 throwing up some surprises, Aston on the mediums wtf? Under 0.4 seconds between 1st and 10th. Sainz nailed it, doubt he can do it again when it really counts though
It’s a shame the McLaren and RedBull cars aren’t just a touch closer in performance on race day - the thought of a title battle between Verstappen and Piastri is mouthwatering.
I'd agree. Although that scenario really needs Red Bull to figure out McLaren's magic tyre trick ASAP, otherwise Oscar is going to run away with it.
