Orr named in the squad for tomorrow thankfully. Hopefully he is named in the team.

It also says that Hampton has picked up an injury and has returned home to NZ. I wonder if he really has or that's their way of avoiding having to say "Brett Hampton has failed to live up to expectations so has returned home to NZ"?

If this is as flat as it was last week, it would be a good opportunity to play Turner. Firstly, to get a lot of overs under his belt (and hopefully get into rhythm). Secondly, because his pace could mean he's one of the few bowlers capable of taking wickets.

What has Orr got to do to get a game. What has Stoneman or Middleton got to do to get dropped. Pathetic management.

Yet another failure for Middleton while Orr sits twiddling his thumbs.

How on earth did Stoneman get away with that?

Another shocking batting display from the top order. What was it Einstein said - oh yeah the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. It's frankly ludicrous that Orr has been left out and I do think Birrell needs to be fired at this point.

Yeah, it's looking like minimal batting points again with only 4 so far this season, a very poor return.

Abbott has a higher batting average than Stoneman, Middleton and Albert. That says it all really.

Very important partnership between Dawson and Albert to get through to tea.

Ordinarily I'd be thinking that Fletcha has just one more innings left to make a score, before he gets dropped. However, the fact that there's only one game left after this until the break for the t20s, might mean that we stick with him next week even if he fails in the second innings.

I am though really struggling with us this season so far. Not as bad as Saints, but still not great.

I'm looking forward to the T20 TBH. Really looking forward to seeing Pretorious and Brevis in action, plus Vincey again of course.

    That is abysmal from Albert.

    First innings scores at Edgbaston this season: 528, 454, 93, 367, 665-5, 504.

I'm not sure what happened with that 93 (maybe difficult conditions because day one was basically washed out). But other than that, it's been runs galore. Until we turn up, with our paltry four batting points.

That looked a shocking decision. Very leg side.
