supposedly the biggest defeat over two games..... Sheff Utd ran away with it at the end

 

Yes in our league .

That red card in the first leg made the difference then Sheff United were clinical .

 

Sunderland had their Deeney moment.

Somehow pulled it out of the bag from nowhere.

Another classic play-off moment.

I did think Coventry were the better side.but actually seemed to settle for a 1-0 win and penalties.

 

Very cruel for Coventry.... but that's Football. Virtually the last kick of the game..........

 

Yes as I say they were probably on too generally but didn’t take their chances and were made to pay .

Unfortunate incident.

Firstly collided with the post chasing a ball from a player who was actually offside and then tried to play on when clearly injured.

 

About time that ridiculous rule was scrapped, if the player is offside near the halfway line just flag offside and be done with it

 

Lovely to see the Stockport County ground filled to the rafters tonight. A real old-fashioned traditional stadium, one that escaped my attention many years ago.

Could you explain why the Scottish fixtures today (Just saw when looking at League 1 play off score) are divided into top six and bottom six, as the league seems to be too?

Good game .

Stockport will be ruining some missed chances and obviously two failed penalties.

Basically it's to avoid a 44 match season for the 12 teams.
The split into two groups happens after they've played each other three times - 33 matches - the six teams in each group then play each once, meaning a 38 match season. The only 'upside' to it is that some unlucky team near the bottom doesn't end up playing the likes of Celtic, Rangers, Hearts or Hibs for a tough run-in.

Stupid idea really - most fans I know would rather have the old system of bigger divisions.
