Some of us just don’t wear fake gear, mate. I don’t wear watches but my mate has a genuine Rolex which he only keeps for business meetings, certain nights out ect. When you’re amongst people with money they can identify easily what’s a genuine Rolex and what’s fake. When it comes to business it helps him feel more powerful and confident. When he’s on a night out, he feels a lot more confident and assured when he’s wearing it. Good for him.
Think I'd have just killed him. My broadband company wanted to come round and update the connection, when the engineer got the job he phoned me and I told him not to bother coming, he was delighted naturally. I just can't stand people drilling and stuff, does my nut in. I just think can't you wait until I die, seriously I do. Part reason also because of ****ing cowboys like that, no thought process to what they are doing.
Me neither ... but if I needed a ridiculously expensive one in order to feel 'empowered' or 'confident' I'd be seriously considering visiting a shrink ... ... and never been attracted to a pug ugly girl covered in diamonds ... Probably works for blokes like Donny J who are never getting shagged on looks and personality alone
I don't wear a Rolex because they are indeed ridiculously expensive, and I can't afford that level, but I do wear a nice watch. It's like I said before, no different to wearing Paul Smith clothes over Primark, it's just a personal choice. It's male jewellery as well. I don't wear earrings of anything like that, but I like nice watch on my wrist. I genuinely don't get why it's even a question. I mean, why the **** do people wear basketball trainers when they don't play basketball?
Don't misunderstand, I have some nice clothes, suits, cufflinks and jewellery - but I wouldn't pay riculously expensive prices ... and would be more impressed by knowledge and personality in a business meeting (and I'm continually in them) than who's got the most expensive watch or shoes ... substance over form every time ... might just be me ... but not bothered if it is
I'm more interested in what food I'm eating these days. Dependent on my mood do I pick up the cheap tomatoes this week or the expensive ones because they taste better and look nice. Plus I like stuff like chicken and ham with no added water....so more expensive. Do I buy the lovely Jersey Royals at £5 a bag (half-price now) or the ok salad potatoes at £1 a bag. At the moment i'm eating some wholemeal pumpkin seed bread, why, because I try and avoid the cheap white ****...with some expensive ham on the bone or whatever it's actually called, along with those nice tomatoes and a huge spring onlon...I can't eat a Rolex so it's no good to me, unless they do ones in chocolate.
If I turn up to do a deal with someone and I notice they’re wearing fake branded clothes and a fake Rolex on their arm… I’m instantly not taking them as serious anymore and I wouldn’t be willing to put up the money I originally had in my mind. Maybe that’s just me.

If your first focus is their jewellery... just saying ... ... would be my last, if at all ... but maybe that's just me!
I'm guessing the people they get to do that type of job is someone that can drive a van, can climb a ladder and knows how to use a drill, all the rest of it comes under the formality, commonly known as bish bash bosh, and they wonder why I don't let these ****s anywhere near my home. I’m assuming the box is upstairs and he’s running it to a new point downstairs? Why hasn’t he gone through the floorboards or at least taking the cable down the side of the house and to the lower wall of the house where he can drill through?
I didn’t say it would be my first focus? I would absolutely notice quite quickly, though. At that point, I’d wonder why they don’t have much respect for themselves or why they weren’t taking pride in their appearance.
