By the letter of the law we should've had half a dozen sent off.

If that happened the game would've been abandoned by the referee ...

... a game can't continue if a team has less than seven player.

Imagine the riots if that had happened <laugh>

I was watching the 'goal from all angles' video and spotted Rigg blocking off Rudoni, this picture shows it perfectly ...

... I don't think the referee would've dared disallow the goal, Ballard had already made that decision <laugh>

One of the best finishes I've seen in my life. The way he bends so low in midair and knocks it in from the back of his head when he can't see a damn thing...absolutely incredible.

I've never got this thing that a team that plays pretty well for long periods of a game, then makes stupid defensive mistakes and loses ... somehow didn't deserve to lose. Yes they did.

I have a mate who is a Derby fan. He's told me that during their infamous 11-point season they weren't total ****e and getting hammered 5-0 every week. During home games they took the initiative for long, long periods ... and then made daft defensive mistakes and ended up losing.

Coventry could have drawn the first leg - but then cry baby defender made an idiotic back pass you wouldn’t see in the Northern League.

Coventry could have won the second leg - but they couldn't defend a corner with just two seconds to go, the daft match-fixing gets.

    **** them.

If Lampard was a half-decent manager he should be putting his arm around his players but also pointing out that we can defend and his bunch of cheats can't.

    Wembley!

When it gets to 111db it is classed as really loud and potentially dangerous to your hearing if subjected to it for a long time <laugh>

Almost every goal can be dismissed as an error so these arguments about 'dominating the entire game but lost to an error' are stupid ...

... Sunderland missed chances in both legs, let in two goals through poor marking and made tactical errors.

That's football but generally the team that wins actually deserves to win.

Coventry had two chances to beat Sunderland and failed both times ... tough titty.

I was watching on TV this time, the other moments mentioned in these types of comparisons are often the Sheff Utd Play Off in the 90's, the Chelsea game when Defoe scored and when we beat Everton to relegate the Mags. I was at all of those, but I reckon this was by far the greatest moment for the SOL. And if we can do the business next week it just cements it for me.

Just going back to that picture and it brings back what a terrific spectacle that was. Huge credit to the club and the fans.

It must have been daunting to the Coventry fans but they and their players stood up to it well tbf. All leading up to the moment of moments at the end.

Gray is a hypocrite, later in the same interview he was asked what he did when big Dan scored, he said I was watching it with Gordon Chisholm and we went absolutely mental, jumping about and screaming.
So two middle aged blokes can lose it but a team of adrenaline pumped young people need to apply restraint.
Also did you see the McCoist/Brazil show when Kevin Ball rang in and wound them up about Gray's comments? Worth a watch :emoticon-0102-bigsm
