So it seems this pertains to something they reported in April: "talkSPORT reported in April that Newcastle had offered Isak a pay rise to fend off interest from clubs including Arsenal, but that deal remains unsigned." Yep, it's a slow day there.
He’s our future and I think we would give him any decent contract to stay. But not astronomical wages. There is a rumour that Haaland won’t stay at City for years and there is a tangible link to Madrid. Isak could slot in that team easy and they would offer him top dollar aswell. But personally I think he will stay unless we need to sell (for FFP).
Because players especially ones with better options are aware their careers are short. They can get more money playing at better clubs with a good chance of winning trophies.
Nah. Too many crap players and a safety-first manager. We’ve players like Tonali getting hooked every game for Longstaff, he probably wants to go back to Italy, then Isak being bigger/better than Newcastle will be tough to replace particularly under Howe who’d probably be aiming for the likes of DCL, which then just sets us back further due to the mediocrity, and so on. If we’d sold Bruno, Gallagher would’ve been number one pick. It’ll take a lot longer to fix the scouting we now have, a fair amount of time to replace some very crap players and longer still to get a manager capable of winning stuff.
When all the other threads get made about the weekly ISAK rumours I'll just merge them all into here.
