I wouldn't mind Muslic (although it would be punty). Plymouth have/had a couple of decent players that would definitely improve us, and he also may play a back 3...

I'd like John Mousinho but doubt he would come this time around. He wanted it when Selles got it. Cooper is the obvious number 1 target but he will be holding out for a big job again so timing may be out to get him.

If we choose another one of the merry go managers we’ll never get promoted, there’s a reason they go from club to club in the championship.

People keep saying they're worried about getting some manager from Turkey; we've never had a manager actually signed from Turkey.

We had Shota, but his last job was in Uzbekistan.

Yeah exactly, if we actually got an ex-Fenerbahce manager who was half decent, I wouldn't mind at all.

We've had Rosie and Selles who were both decent, and Walter and Shota who weren't.

Obviously there's a pattern forming with foreign managers, but other clubs manage to find ones that are good, I don't see why we should be the exception. I'd take the Plymouth guy for sure.

The adaptation required to Championship football for a manager from overseas will always make it a risk. It is probably the most competative league in Elite Football. Whilst I still think Tim would have had us mid-table playing entertaining football with the right players him and Shota were always going to need longer to adapt. Selles had the advantage of having being in the UK for a while and will have watched a lot of the games so probably understood the intensity of the league better. If we go left field again it is a massive gamble. I think however it will be a safe as houses appointment now that Tan has gone and we have more stable people in the recruitment side.

The fact Baz mentioned him makes me think he's realistic. He has a track record of knowing who is in the frame and dropping their name as if it's just something he's thought of.

Are you suggesting Tan was unstable? I thought the general view was that he kept Acun in check.

The thing I can't get my head around is Acun keeps appointing young inexperience managers who are not the finished article, then sacking them when they make mistakes.

He oversaw the worst recruitment we have had for several years and I will not go into the other 'things'. Acun put way too much faith in him. Hopefully now he has the right people in house.

There are merry go round managers who have been promoted. Bruce was one when he got us promoted.

Ah, the old blame Tan for Acun's failings trick.

Then blame Dublin for his failings next time around.

Consider the possibility that Tan left because he was no longer able to work with the owner and not the other way around.

Along the same lines.....who here would take Grant McCann if he were available? At the very least it would wipe out an inevitable and painful cup loss against him each year.

Kesler didn’t leave because he skimmed money off the top through agent fees or anything nefarious like that. He left because he initially disagreed with Acun about sacking Rosenior and didn’t want to work for a prick like Acun anymore when it was obvious Walter wouldn’t work out. He’ll do alright for himself, just like Rosenior and Sellés will. The common denominator at City is the chairman who blames everybody else for his woeful incompetence.
