Agreed, if you can’t afford it then don’t go. The club have done all they can to keep prices low and make it accessible to everyone. People cheating the system will ultimately just ruin it for everyone else and rip off the club in the process.

I guarantee all that sneak in on a kids ticket can afford the extra few quid, they’re just saving it for beer money.

That's the thing. If the adults using kids passes paid their way an increase may not have been needed. I know of a fair few who do it. One was bragging in Punch before the last home game.
I could sneak stuff in for the kids but I buy it from the kiosk. It helps the club in a small way. I stood next to the free fruit against Derby having a beer. Big sign saying fruit for children. The amount of blokes coming and taking it was crazy. One arsehole had a rucksack and put about 8 pieces in it. When I said something he just grinned like it was funny. Annoys me that so many seem intent on trying to find loop holes to shaft the club.

Someone I see on the bus to the ground normally goes with his mate - they are both 65+. His mate wasn't going so this bloke took his grandson. Somewhere between the bag check and the turnstile he was pulled over by the steward and his passes checked. He was allowed access as the child ticket would have been cheaper than the OAP. He checked with the ticket office and they said he wouldn't need to 'upgrade' the pass if it happened again due to the child ticket being cheaper. Just recounting this tale as clearly passes are checked occasionally.

There is more checking of bags than tickets.
